** OcUK Fantasy Cycling **

Giro week! Lets try and get more people involved, deadline for entries for first stage of Giro (it's a slightly less than 10km ITT) is in 3 days.

GT's are so much harder to get right in the fantasy world for me compared to one day races, you can really see your whole team fall apart and drop a heck of a points on a day to day basis so you really do need to keep constant and working on your team each day after the stages.

I would do more proper updates on this thread here but we only have 4 of us playing in the OcUK league :( If a few more of you get involved I will put a good bit more effort into all of this, so get your fingers out and start head scratching at that team selection screen :p
 
I've been bitten in the past and run out of changes!

Giro can be harder to call the winner unlike the TDF where you can stick with the main 3 from week 1.
 
Well the wheels have fallen off. Over 100 points every day until yesterday, where I got 10....

I am being stubborn and sticking with my entire sprint train today. Made one little change, still got 34 transfers left so think that is OK. The Kitten and the Gorilla can both launch it on uphill sprints and this one isn't mega steep. Should be easier for them to hang on and not get dropped like yesterday as well unless someone uterly mental (I am looking at you Wellens!!) goes on a absolute mission....

Well I've taken points back on you the past two days, picked up a 1,2,3 yesterday.

A different stage now, maybe one for the break but hard to call, the favourites for the GC might smash it at the end.

I had a better day yesterday, very decent for you though, well done :) I switched out Hofland for Sbaragli yesterday, grrrrr :(

I am now down to 24 transfers.... So I have picked what will essentially be my core team of "favourites" plus a few blokes I can switch around to minimise transfer use throughout 2nd week (hopefully). Today a hard one to call, the way the bunch has been riding I can't see them allowing the punchy riders the chance so I think we might be treated to a very early GC showdown so that someone can prove a point.... Then it may calm down a little again. I have taken Ulissi of course though, because Ulissi :p
 
I took a few more points back on you again, but you're still ahead.

Tough one to call again, it looks like a breakaway stage but maybe the last stage before Kitel goes home as it will get hilly. I expect to see Etixx on the front & also trying to hold onto the young riders jersey.

Bloody Wellens doing a Wellens. He is the most Belgian Belgian of all time when he races in Italy! :mad:

I put Kittel and Gorilla back in today..... Bold move, but I think a sprint train will come today. It's getting tougher now on the fantasy pick front.... Yesterday every single man in my team scored something except for one, who placed 21st so just outside scoring! :rolleyes:

Yeah massive day for you yesterday well done!
It's because I missed two days completely of picking a team over the weekend, I suffered heavily but I have nobody to blame but myself :p
 
You're gonna get some back now! Forgot to change my team over until just now so I have 5 sprinters on a climb stage inc Griepel whose gone home!
