You want to be careful that you don't end up with a squad full of people who's stats are stupidly good as it makes the game pretty pointless.

I was rating myself alongside people I play with, I had no frame of reference.

If we're comparing ourselves to professionals then very few people here in RL would get any stats above 1

To be honest the stats to me seem pretty realistic.. theres only RoB- who seem a little biased... I said it before and ill say it again. The stats should be based on your abilities NOW. If you 40 and are fat you are not going to have 20 pace and 20 stamina are you....

If you work in some sort of PC tech center then your Tech abilities would be higher than average. I juts wnated the stats to be based on what people know as of now. I hope this is clear..

Still, the players so far in game are only a small ammount better than the rest of the Conference divison players. Theres not a massive gap.

You have to be creative with your stats and exagerate them of course but if you have half of the england squad in your team while in league two, you may aswell let the computer play the game for you. The majority of people who are in at the moment have quite balanced stats so the game will be a challenge and they may get a lot better if you train them up right ect. but if you have someone in your team who should be at chelsea then it falls apart.

I'm a technical services specialist on government contracts. Don't know where that would put me. I'm Team Leader on like a 3rd line desk.

Didn't see tech abilities except footy related ones?

I see what you mean. The way I look at it was this. The footy stats converted to your real life stats.. if you see whaere im going..

Example.
Me. Im a Butcher by trade and now fish monger. I am a manger in supermarket, have good person skills and generaly well liked. good temper, bugger all conentration etc etc. I would convert these to football related stats. Inc the other ones.. everyone see what Im getting at?

So wity being a butcher I would have a bit more strengh than most people, if not. A higher rating. I have good pace but no stamina. (i rush around getting things done, but gett knackerd easy)

If gilly is in the team I'm sure I wont be the only international player in the squad.

That was the only thing that made me stand out.

I hope league 2 is harder than this:

my second game, 6 - 0 up at half time, then 2 of there players lost it just after the break. I was hoping for more after they went down to 9

Edit: 7-0 next game hmmm could break quite a few records this season

I'd wait for drooling gimp to add you to the game first, and see how it goes, it's probably worth him getting a full squad and then going through the stats. He doesn't have to totally gimp the team, but you'll see when you get the game that it's a lot more rewarding when you have to work hard for every win than just rolling over every team.

As for the team what is with all the red cards? it seems that fights seem to break out in every game :confused:

I wouldn't worry about your stats, the main thing is they give a true reflection of what type of player you are.

I had the same problem when doing mine, I tried to do them honestly but when I had finished them they looked way too high. As we have both mentioned at some point, these stats are for pro footballers and if our true abilities were entered (in relation to other pro's in the game) we wouldn't even be good enough to play in the game.

Best way to look at it is as long as you give a true representation of the kind of player you are in real life, that will be good enough. It's probably safe to assume that everyone will have been a little generous in places with their stats.

I think the best system would be for droolinggimp to modify peoples stats accordingly once every position has been filled.

Tech Att stands for technical attributes and is entirely based on football, nothing else.

I see what you mean and it is hard to convert into everyday abilities. I just thought we could base them on non football if people dont actually play football.

Ah sod it. Ok. Non football stats-base on your everyday work/home live abilities, Football stats base on what you are now or what you was 20 years agao when you did play it.

Is that better way to do it. Probably the way its been done already .. !

All of the stats are in relation to football. The best way to do it imo is as you have suggested, base it on what your ability was if you are older now.

I would imagine most people who are interested in this have an idea of what their ability is/was and have done it this way anyway.

I've based my stats on my ability now (to my detrement) if I based them on my ability at my peak you would have to sell me straight away.
