A goalkeeper? All my goalie stats were 2? :eek:

But you can play in goal if the need arises...

You have better stats for goalie than most players.. Saying that I used to play in goal at school.. although I much prefer right winger.

Heh. I've always played Defense since primary school (where i was first choice attacker - strange change of position) and i did enjoy a stint in goal for quite a few 5 a side games down the sports centre.

If all else fails you could just post about it in either Sports or GD as it's a bit of fun for members as long as people who have the game keep them updated to whats going on with the team and who is doing well etc.

used to play for my school back in the day though we were utter garbage lol.. most games we lost.

One of our best games we drew 7-7. Being a natural leftie i played LB defence occasionally LW can also play in goal but im rubbish outdoors. I was fairly decent as an indoor goalie though

Had a trial for an amateur team but i was too rubbish to get in and too unfit and i didnt like the training.. too much hard work really :rolleyes:

If you not got FM07 that doesnt matter. Just d/l my form and fill in the stats and be truthfull on what you input.

I will add you to the team. I will need your real name though.

Hopfully there will be few of us playing with this team in our own games so you will have a few "careers" to choose and follow.

Unfortunately I wont be able to use it myself as I only have FM07 for the 360.

As for the stats, I think it's fair enough that we use our own attributes (be honest people

) but what do we do about current/potential abilty?

Given that none of us actually are pro footballers, if we put down what we should for these, we would get nowhere. I would suggest we all use a set amount for current/potential ability, then it's down to how each individual player is used within the game. 130 current and 190 potential (or -2 if that still aplies in FM07) would seem fair amounts.

For Current and Potential Ability I put 130 and 180. Feel free to change it when we have agreed as a whole what the CA and PA should be.

That would seem to be the fairest way.

Another point I thought of, I don't want to seem like i'm making something that should be simple become difficult, but....

After doing my stats last night and trying to do them honestly, it was obvious that there were stats that were simply too high. I've got some fairly low stats where I think my weaknesess are, but looking at it once done, the stats look too high (given that i'm not a pro footballer).

I think it might be good idea for us to set a max stat limit of 15 (for example) rather than 20 for all but physical attributes.

I was thinking that too whilst doing my own stats. The thing is I know I am really good at Teamwork and Managing yet totaly crap at running and have less stamina than a dead dog. If you feel you deserve a 20 in a few stats then do it. I dont think anyone will begrudge you a few high marks.

So far I have 4 members who have sent me thier stats, but please use my NTL e-mail and not my hotmail if thats ok. My hotmail is used by my missus so can get cluttered and some e-mails can get over looked.

Dont forget to add your forum name to the email header/title etc. I can keep track then.

I shall be creating the players today from the stats I have already got and I shall just add them to my Derby squad, just to test them out.

Just off Chaddesden Park road/Northwood/Maddison Avenue.

Back On topic. For the people who just view the thread, you too can have your place in the team. There is lots of non-player jobs up for grabs such as Coaches, scouts (1st team and youth), Physios, Managers/assistant managers, Members of the board (Chaiman, Directors etc).

If you are interested in any of the above positions please let me know. There are stats involved and if you wish to have me create another NON-PLAYER stat sheet I will. Other wise just post your prefered position in the club and give me a good idea of what sort of ability you have and I shall create you..

I've tweaked my stats now, tried to be a little more harsh where i've probably given myself too much credit. I've put the CA as 130 and PA as 190, tho this is obviously subject to change depending on what people agree on.

I stll think i've been too generous on a few (given that the stats are for pro's), will change if it is decided to set a common limit.

I can always alter a few of peoples stats if I feel they are too high. But for the CA and PA I think 100 and 175 is a good start.
