GALAX GeForce GTX 970 OC Silent "Infinity Black Edition" 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card **WorldWide Exclusive** @ £299.99 inc VAT

Since Overclockers UK introduced our Infinity system range, demand for high performance zero compromise systems has exploded. Our Infinity brand represents performance hardware coupled with a unique and stylish aesthetic.

Since the release of high end Maxwell architecture, the hardware game has changed. The new GeForce cards offer revolutionary new technologies and class leading performance alongside low operating temperatures and impressive power consumption.

The GALAX GeForce GTX 970 OC Silent "Infinity Black Edition" is a collaboration of one of the largest Nvidia board partners worldwide, Overclockers UK Graphics Specialist: Andrew Gibson and Overclockers UK Technical Specialist & Overclocking World Champion, Ian ‘8Pack’ Parry.

Originally the Galax 970 EX OC Black Edition was intended as a high performance option for customers looking for the ultimate gaming experience with class leading performance. Our close partnership with Galax allowed us to specify a list of important modifications that would make the GALAX GeForce GTX 970 OC Silent "Infinity Black Edition" a real show stopper.

Primarily, to fit the Infinity aesthetic, we demanded that the external design of our Black Edition card was sleek and stealthy. Adding to the already imposing look of the Galax design, this new, aggressive appearance really highlights the intent behind this product.

Additionally to the colour change, we included a nickel plated I/O plate, heatsink and heatpipes to compliment the premium nature of the product. The already impressive backplate on the card has been accented with a stylish "Infinity: Inspired by 8 Pack" decal.
The imposing looks of the card would be nothing without the ‘go’ to back up all the show.

Building on the already impressive performance of the GTX 970 platform, world class overclocking expertise from 8Pack has been implemented to fine tune the BIOS of this card to achieve maximum safe, reliable performance from the GTX 970.

As an industry leading gaming and high end hardware specialist, Overclockers UK understands the importance of offering a product that meets a customer’s expectation. A major worry for any enthusiast is operational noise under load. We have used this knowledge to reduce coil whine by using higher quality components and also using glue to attach the inductors to the PCB to help reduce electrical vibrations which help reduce whine.

This collaboration with Galax has allowed us to build what we believe to be the finest example of a GTX 970 on the market today.

This product is exclusively available from Overclockers UK and Caseking group throughout UK and Europe. We suggest European customers visit www.caseking.de to purchase this card in Western Europe and Eastern European customers purchase from http://www.kellytech.hu/

I am very proud of what I have created here and because I wanted a hit I sent KitGuru one of my cards to review for in time with this launch.

KitGuru Review

In short KitGuru state is as being the best 970 they ever tested, read the review for yourselves:
http://www.kitguru.net/components/g...rce-gtx-970-oc-silent-infinity-black-edition/

Looks the business! And a zero coil whine guarantee. Also £20 cheaper than the reference and does have the applied glue (like the ref was originally going to have). Only a 2 year warranty though. What memory is used on this card?

Our factory is informed to use ONLY Samsung or the new Hynix that NVIDIA have graded as we found both to overclock equal with same efficiency. Elpida is on the not allowed list for our card.

Strong work Gibbo, definitely something to be proud of. When I do eventually commit to getting a 970 in the new year I now have the reference, HOF, and this to choose from...

Yeah OcUK/Caseking is king as you can only buy reference 970, Infinity 970 or a HOF 970 from OcUK, gotta love an exclusive. :)

How much stock will you be getting?

That's for us to know and not for you, but we can handle any potential volume order you might give us. :)

Stock will be available in UK, Germany, France, Poland and Hungary as stated in the product description.

Caseking launch the product next week in Germany and Hungary.

I'd really like to see what the card can be pushed to, as the review clocks aren't all that impressive really, as you can clock lower priced cards just the same.

The review clocks it to 1476MHz as stated by GPU-Z, everyone knows GPU-Z reports incorrectly and the actual boost will be even higher.

The one I have hear will do 1620MHz core benchmark speed wise before dropping out and upto around 1580MHz for gaming.

The most important factor when it comes to OC is silicon and no board partner is speed binning 970's and no one will. The power and cooler just helps to go that little bit further.

Great looking and performing card with the fins in the correct orientation (i.e. parallel to airflow coming from front of case). If I was in the market for a 970 this would be a no-brainer.

Only surprise for me was the single display port. Given the power of this beast will people really be using HDMI or even dual-link DVI?

DVI is actually still the most popular connectivity. :)

Silent Black Edition not descriptive enough for you?

Gibbo scours the planet for genuine titanium panels from SR-71 Blackbird stealth planes to help craft his fan shroud, the card is manufactured under tight secrecy in a bunker somewhere in South East Asia, and shipped via nuclear submarine under the North Pole and you're not happy?

There's just no pleasing some folks :D

Love it! :)

I expect the answer will be no, but there's no harm in being cheeky and asking. Will this be sneaking its way into the Black Friday sales with one of your classic silly prices?

If not then, since Return of the Obra Dinn and The Escapists aren't exactly the most taxing of games, I'll wait until the January sales and GTAV's release for my GPU upgrade

I am afraid not sorry.

Sorry to post in here but I can't seem to get a reply two about the last 10 posts I've made on graphics cards. i'll give up after this.

I'm trying to decide on a card by tonight before deals end)

I am restricted by dimensions and about the only cards to fit is the Galax, Evga and the OCUK with Nvidia reference cooler.

I'm most tempted now with REF cooler 970 but am wondering about its overclocking potential and wether i'd be better with Galax.

My concern is airflow and my case being an oven as there won't be much space between parts.

Anyone with a reference cooler 970? how do you find it? its at ideal size for my case/

Any advice before midnight would be massively appreciated here.

Small case or one with poor airflow or lack of space reference for sure or otherwise Galax.
