Yes can be cut to length, mains powered. You can solder wires between the cut to leave a gap etc and hide the soldered wire etc. Look at the last pic in blue - see the plug in the wall :)

If they are successful I will be getting additional power bricks etc, as they can be purchased seperately.

You don't do white ones :(

These have a white option on the remote.

Basically each light node has 3 LED's (red, green and blue) they mix together the light to make the different colours.

All three colours = white. These do white, look at the one by last image in my first post.

probably a daft question but what voltage do these run at 12v?

You mean what wattage? I have already tested them with the Energenie Wattage tester we sell. Max wattage it hit was 18watts and that was on full brightness with fastest colour flicker.

I will be doing a more concise review tonight with my power meter :)

no i mean do these run at 240v or 12v at the lights? or is it a 240/12v stepdown transformer?

They step down to 12v using this, which also has the IR receiver for the remote. The main white box on that image is only slightly bigger than a 50pence coin.

Hope you don't mind, I have directly linked the youtube video on the forum (ie. Editted your post)

These are so much more versitile, for example having a hot tub and putting them in the water! Can you do that with a living colour light?

I plan to install these strips under my pool table in my front room! The Philips light cannot do that!

I love the idea of putting it under the cabinets in the kitchen. This could work nicely in mine, so I may have to purchase these myself. Shall post pictures here. :D

Exactly - cannot put that Philips light under your counters in the kitchen :)

Only problem is my cheap camera on my phone picks up the white as a purple colour whn taking a pic.
Here are fe video's

Picture being uploaded now.

how white is the white? can't really tell from the pic's Ace!!

The white is pure white, but as I was using a crappy phone camera and my fireplace is purple, as are the curtains in the room. The images have a purple glow effect on the lighting. Similiar to the pure yellow - in real viewing the yellow is YELLOW, but on the pictures they appeal orangey.

Maybe Valkia can lend me his SLR that should give better true colour representation.

Can multiple sets be linked/daisy chained to one adapter? I'd like to use these in a kitchen i'm installing but don't want really want more than one power outlet used by them.

You can, but it would involve soldering wires to the end and connecting to the next kit - but power wise it would work.

can you take a pic of what they look like when switched off with the normal room light on. How obvious are they? I'm hoping that it doesnt stick out like a sore thumb and look like you havn't taken the xmas decor down.

Will do tonight.
