Edit - DEEEEERP got it. Curio click the big red edit button at the top, then click on your entry in the list and it will let you edit it.

ooooohhhh, so the edit button doesn't just cover that one little bit of text that it automatically highlights, you click edit to go into some sort of edit mode where you can add markers and stuff.

Added my marker in right on top of my uni department

It does it through geo tagging when you do it on the OcUK mobile app.
