Following the success of the Glentress meet a few weeks ago, there is interest for another meet, this time in North Wales.

Coed Y Brenin:

For those who havent been, there a few trails there to suit all abilities. The MBR trail and Dragons Back are very good. Some of it is black graded but in reality it's still red graded.

From what I am told (since I couldn't make that last meet) the pace is relaxed. Probably due to everyone crashing :p.

If we base ourself in Betws Y Coed there is plenty of occomodation and a few nice pubs.

Date wise I am thinking the end of October/Start of November.

Your thoughts please.

Trip dates of October 23rd - 24th.

If it's just going to be riding at Coed y Brenin, we could stay in some nearby cabins or (if you fancy it) a camping barn that's riding distance from the trail centre. It sleeps 10, has a kitchen and showers, a bike wash and a lock-up. It'll also save us £4 a day on the car park.

If I can rent a bike from a nearby shop, I may consider it :)

Visitor centre Bike hire and they have a real bike with a truly awesome description :D

Santa Cruz Heckler
"If bikes could be thought of in human athletic terms, some could be compared to marathon runners, and some could be thought of more like wrestlers. Somewhere in the middle, you'd find the Heckler." HAHA

I'd be up for some pasty smashing in wales, Glentress was a blast.

The dates ichabod has suggested are OK for me, plenty of time to get the days booked off work - I'd have to set off on the Friday afternoon as it's quite a hike from Newcastle, anyone else planning on staying the Friday night too?

I'd possibly come Friday night depending on when others are gonna get there, would be nice to get out early on Sat to ride as much as poss.

I'm also up for some barnyard action.

Sounds like a party on fri night then, I'm there! Only problem would be for people coming sat morning would have to get there super early to join in early rides.

If I'm coming along I'll be up for coming down on Friday night, will have to check out if I can get the Friday afternoon off work.

Barn sounds good, I can manage slumming it if I absolutely have to.... ;)
