OcUK now selling e2180! Well when stock arrives.

Ive been very tempted to buy one of the E21**'s to play with. Night out or new toy? decisions :D

whats so great about these over the 2160?

In addition to higher multi the E2180 also has the latest M0 revision core which is a lot more overclockable than the older L2 revision E2160 & E2140. Of course you can still find M0 2160s & 2140s if you are very lucky.

Its E21** :p

I think its cool that they stock these now, what clocks have people got on these so far?
2.66GHz with stock volts (1.2375v):

3GHz with 1.35v:

3.2GHz with 1.4125v:

3.33GHz with 1.4625v:

I wasn't too happy with the temps at 3.33GHz and after 6 hours it failed prime95 anyway so didn't try any further.

Here's another screenshot showing thermal throttling in action and confirming CoreTemp 0.95.4 and the beta version of Everest have identified the correct TjunctionMax (85c) meaning the core temps from those programs can be considered accurate. :)

EDIT: Just in case anyone gets the wrong idea about temps/cooling. :p

I wanted to know for sure about TjunctionMax so the above screenshot was taken after I had removed the CPU cooler (Tuniq Tower 120) and allowed the CPU to reach it's thermal throttling point. ;)

What cooler are you using lol, very poor temps.

If it's an aftermarket cooler then I'm dissapointed.:(

Hi all

I can also report that these chips clock very well! Had mine at 3ghz with stock volts (orthos stable). Once i get a better cooler i will push it futher but at the mo, its plenty fast enough compared to my old 4600X2.

So my advice is buy coz you wont be disappointed. :)

mine is doing 3ghz at stock volts ....about 1.33 bios and 1.29 under load ...680i with no vdroop pencil fix...yet.

load temps are low 50s after 8hrs orthos small fft with a BigTyphoon and yate loon in a small case inside a cabinet (HTPC)

gonna lap my BT and the chip and give it some more juice this week....hope to see 3.3-3.4 with moderate voltage.

for £50 bargain chips tbh :)

Ordered my E2160 + Gigabyte P35-DS3 + 2GB GeiL 800Mhz Black Dragon, gonna post in here the results once I get the goods :)
