OcUK Overclocking workshops!

Great news, hopefully be a guide on how to get haswell to 4.8 without going above 1.36v :)

Haswell will be overheating with the silicon torture people use on here with much less than 1.36v. Infact for 24/7 a standard CPU should not be given more than 1.35v.

Good silicon can do it easy though at like 1.2v.

Can you do the videos in the same style as Mr torgue from bl2...similar builds, you just need to brush up on your air guitar 8 pack :p

I'd love to see an Overclockers Workshop! I have been umming and ahhing over trying overclock my PC for ages, and although I finally managed to do, I know that I really know little about the subject

8pack, are you going to iseries again in august? i never got round to dropping my computer off last lan ;)

mines the big orange one with z77x-up7 and a 3770k in it :D

also, if you do the workshop, il make sure im in stoke that day, would love to see it :D

Videos will get the site more exposure. Especially if you take things a level lower in terms of explaining why things effect results in OC'ing like they do...rather than the usual "how to OC" videos.

How about this as an idea...

You order a new machine or the core components from OCUK
and then you arrange to collect from the store on a day when an overclocking course is arranged i.e. when say 10-20 other people are also collecting and attending the course.

Then staff at OCUK help you assemble and overclock your new kit.

You leave the store with your new machine build and overclocked and with some knowledge and fun along the way.

Would that not be a great day out?

I can see this working for both overclocking and watercooling. I recall how scary doing my first water loop was and think I would have been much happier had someone been there to ask and check things over.

Pay for it as you would but be there to learn about the nuances of your own system so it can be 'tinkered'
Great day out!
