congrats mrk, its a fantastic shot, but ive always felt that it was too portrait for my liking. Oh well, nice choice of theme though

On a separate note ... to MichaelG ... disappointed your shot didn't come a bit higher. I thought it was excellent.

Well done all, thanks to the judges.
I've been so busy with uni this month that I haven't had a chance to enter

Will try harder for the Cuisine round.

Colin I like the shot, nice subject matter

I would say that it's a tad noisy and that the girls face is a bit over exposed. I think in terms of 'Candid' we needed to see more of her environment/doing something. It looks too much like a portrait. Having said that I didn't even enter so I can't really comment.

^ I agree with what he said. Looks like a touch of camera shake too/or it's a touch out of focus. Also I think the mono conv could be better, it's a bit too contrasty - the shadows are blocked and the highlights a touch blown. Pretty subject tho
