LOL, had to get lucky eventually :D

Where's the link to that site with all the themes, think CyKey uses it? Haven't got a clue otherwise, all I seem to do now is motorsport and horses.

Now theres a shot. Horses on bikes. :D Congrats dude, well deserved. Photo Friday is the site you're thinking of, I think :)

congrats dod and thanks again to the judges. I was hoping id be further up the table this time, but im still very happy of where i ended up considering im pretty new. Anyway, well done all :)

Nice one Dod, very deserved winner! :) congrats to nomore too for second. Very suprised to get 3rd :) thought Puz would have done better.

Thanks to all the judges!!

looking forward to next theme :)

thanxs to all the judges - am a little disappointed with myself, wanted a couple more than 59... must try harder!!!

Emotion was too difficult and motion was too easy. Something in-between the last two please dod... and congrats a lovely photo.

WOW,

Well i'm totally amazed by my score, I wasn't happy with it at all.

Well done dod and of course a big thank you to the judges!!

congratulations dod, there was no doubt that was going to win, fantastic shot.

I must admit I feel a little stung with my result, I felt that last theme a little bias towards people with cheaper cameras that are not able to do 'simple' time exposure shots, I guess I need to upgrade my camera.

I would argue that they were both just as hard. Emotion was hard to get a shot that really said "Emotion" and not just a person's facial expression. Motion was hard to get a shot that really stood out from the 200 odd panning car shots :)

Exactly! That's what made it hard to judge too :D

Congrats to everyone who entered, all the shots were of a good standard this round, keep it up!

Special congrats to dod of course for entering a great shot.

Thanks too to xolotl for sorting out the results in my absence!

thats sort of what i meant, it was too easy to get a shot that said motion (have at least ten shots this month i could have entered) but your right the difficult bit was gettng a unique shot that stood out.

That's the one, ta :) If you'd said bikes on horses I can think of a few :p :D

Got to say I'm leaning towards "Candid", might actually push me to doing people stuff which I really don't like. Not camera dependent either.

I really like that topic choice, in that I HATE it and have never tried it due to being as shy as a ..... shy thing.

It means ill have to push my comfort zone to take something for this comp. :)

Photography, for me, is all about pushing my comfort zone. Bring it on :D

[edit]

Ph Candids. That is outside my confort zone as Dreeder put it. On a more serious note, where do we stand as photographers taking candids of people and using them on an Internet competition like this? Do we need them to sign a model release form?

Model release forms are only for when you are using an image for commercial means, like a makeup advert. At best you just need their consent which is as simple as a name on a page. Generally it won't be an issue unless you cast them in a negative light. Say if you took a pic of an overweight person and started a thread about how fat they were. They could then sue you over it.
