Coorporate, or Industrial (styles) - do they fall into the "Work" category?

I have an idea for the Work theme but it will involve a bit of Photoshopping to get the effect I want.

I know there is a markdown in points for over-processing a photo but what is the line here? (if there is one!)

Blimey, what a hard theme this one was!

Anyway, I'm pleased with my result, I actually made an improvement! :D

Congratulations to lowrider007, as for work...well - that is very broad, which might make it easier or harder to get some good results. Plenty of opportunity there :)

just had a though........ stop laughing now!! :p

Work can be anything! Photography, policing, building, driving etc etc.....

I reckon we'll all have different shots this time

work is a good theme, the shot should convey 'work' to the viewer for it to er...work, how we achieve that is up to us i suppose, themes will always be subjective, but this theme is broad, it could encompass lots of ideas, one of which i have in my head! :D

a picture of anything can be someones work!
Yes, it could be, but as Matty said ...

the shot should convey 'work' to the viewer for it to er...work

Try to put yourself in the mind of a judge. If you took a picture of a sausage and someone else took a picture of a coal miner digging in a mine who do you think would score better (assuming everything else is equal)?

This does however bring us back to the scoring subject that was talked about in the other thread, that a beautifully taken shot of a sausage could infact beat a badly take shot of a miner digging in a mine, which doesn't seem right. I have no easy answer to this tho, apart from weighted theme scores.

how many points do you get for black eyes?

I imagine people are going to get bashed when they start taking pics of brickies and roadworkers :p
