OcUK Poker '10 Season

I'd be interested, only free place I play is texas hold'em on facebook which I don't think allows private games, so sadly no use in the ideas dept :(

Could designate a host for each week in advance so for all 12 weeks we know who's responsibility it is. If there's a problem not making it then there would hopefully be enough time for someone to step in and host.

i'll be in again, sadly I had to drop out a bit towards the end of last season due to work. I also don't mind paying for a table (that wasn't the reason for me dropping out.) Hope we can get a good group like the beginning/middle of last year.

Only other option would be everyone paying something upfront to cover the cost of the tables, if it isn't prize money I don't think it would be a problem.

Nice to see you back. :) We have ran it past Gilly/mods before and the answer was no, iirc regarding the cost up front idea.

I'm pretty unreliable when it comes to timekeeping, but if I can make it I will do. Deadlines/the missus will occasionally interfere.

edit: question answer in OP...

what u need is someone with no life, who is going to be home alone every Sunday or whenever. :) then they setup a 10-20 player list, and get a dollar per player via paypal or whatever or something similar. If you don't pay, or explain ur absence, u get kicked off the list!

We aren't allowed to do this. If it's open to the forum it must be FREE, no charges implied to play the game, no being "kicked out" of the league if you fail to pay. No prize money must be played for or players charged to enter, and that will not change under any circumstances.

I would, if I were you, get in contact with Betfred Poker, or maybe a smaller, lesser known site (Cake Poker, Poker770) or something along those lines, as it's only good publicity for them, might encourage people to play for real on there. Might seem a long-shot, but drop them a line.

Edit: Nevermind, internet said no, link in OP is correct.

That Stan James poker client won't accept my username, I've tried many variations; even just using 15 letters (specifies 4-30), still says "incorrect format".

Anyone else had this trouble??

Does it cost to set up a private table once a week then? If so how much, rather than a prize, surely its an admin cost?
20 player limit, first come first serve?

I don't mind getting $10 in my stan james account to host a week or two. :)

That's kinda of you. Because I'm only going to run this year for 12 weeks it should theoretically be easier to find people willing to pay.

Of course I'm going to pay for one week.
