OcUK Poker Thread.

if you played them on same day then you breached the new laws, it's £5 per person per day :p

From the gambling commision website:

Q. Can we play poker in our local pub?

The Gambling Act 2005 allows equal chance gaming (including poker), but introduces strict conditions for any gaming, including limits on stakes and prizes, and provides licensing authorities with powers to take action against individual premises in a range of circumstances.

The regulations set a fixed limit of £5 per game on the amount that may be staked by a player in any type of equal chance gaming in pubs and other premises with a bar. There is also a limit on prizes of £100 per day.

Which to me reads as £5 per game up to a maximum of £100.

Cool people play holdem during horse.

No, only poker professionals do this. Horse is rather hard to become good at.

There are plenty of "cool" people who don't know how to play 5 different flavours of poker...

Got this a couple of weeks ago, shame I was playing play money, at the lowest possible stakes and I won a crap pot. But still.

I also have $23 in my account but am yet to enter my credit card details. Freerolls for the win. (why is the abbreviation of for the win censored?)

Sucks though, because min withdrawal from FT is $50.

I had $50, got to $83, withdrew $63, and then turned the remaining $20 into $200 playing $2 SNGs to start with, and gradually working up. Withdrew another $140 just now.

Fancy a small SNG sometime? Drop me an email or add me to msn if you do, it's not allowed to be arranged here :p
