OcUK Poker Thread.

Last night I was playing in a live £5 rebuy tournament and I had a player that made proportionately the same raise as you preflop with the same hand. I called from the button. He 3/4 bet the pot on the flop and I again just called. Turn came down as a 2 and for some reason unknown to me he just checked it. I assumed he had something like KQ/AJ/small pair at this point and I decided to check too. River was 9 and this time he nervously bet the pot. I was sitting pretty on trip queens and shoved all in hoping he had something like 2pair. He instantly called and doubled me up nicely :)

Some people might question why I didn't raise the flop or the turn, but I think I played it just right and got paid :D. If he showed 9s, I would have been in a mood, but that's the way it goes...

I made an awesome call late in the game, but my proudest moment of the night was binning AKs to a monster reraise from a very tight player in the very next hand. I spent a good few minutes pondering before folding and showing the AK... he flipped over the aces I was sure he had and I was feeling rather smug :)

Ended up winning nearly £400, so not bad for a silly £5 tourney. Didn't rebuy or addon either ;)

Let him complain about my call all he likes :)

Went into town and withdrew £1,000 in wonderful, crisp notes this morning from Ladbrokes. Was most satisfying. They had to ring up and get it authorised, as it was over £200, the daily limit for most customers. They've upped mine to £1,500 as I'm a regular customer and have had my account for a long time :)

You can withdraw money from your Ladbrokes account in branch?

As long as you opened the account online, hand over your bank card and say you want to withdraw (x). You have to enter your password on a chip and pin style machine, and it's dead easy.

Got a game at my house Sat afternoon/night

Normally use a fold out table top

Missus is going to go Radio Rental when she sees what I have in the garage :p

I'd like to go there and find out for myself sometime. Once I've got £5k in disposable money I'll definitely be making the trip for a week or so of intense poker!

Anyone fancy a beer and a meet up Sunday, I will be at DTD , 4pm start , 4000+4000 double chance deepstack game , £100+10 buy in

I'll be there, be good to see anyone else who fancies a game

Muh?

I've made many posts in this thread, I have no idea which particular one you're relating to.

This thread is for poker talk, not for crappy spam like that. ;)

rotty - Bit harsh that. I'll definately head up to DTD sometime this year.

I'd like to go to DTD. Don't really have the funds to be playing no £100+£10 though. If they did £10+£1's that's more my level unfortunately.

They do a £25+5 on a Wednesday, gets 150+ players too

last night was one of the wierdest games I have seen

£200 per person entry, one hand all in Omaha and players looked at/showed 2 cards after flop, 3rd on turn and 4th on river

Quad 7's won it (£1800) but he did't know he had flopped quads till the very end

there was also the last day of a £500+50 and a £300+30 running last night as well as an impromptu £30 scalp game which started up about 9pm and got 60+ players

add to that about 8-10 cash games so was a busy night in there
