Sounds about right. Even had a case of a new player joining this weekend, and at the break, trying to slide chips across to his mate! I spotted it and was told "you can't ******* tell me what to do" :rolleyes:

Roughly how many turned up for your regional final? I've no idea what to expect IF I get there.

about 100-150 iirc

then about 150 at national final
 
Been playing Daniel Negreanu online earlier, he was playing micro stakes as part of a bankroll challenge and I was stuck on a customer site

There were hundreds watching the table, Negreanu was on flight from Caribean to Vegas


Oh and I rivered a flush on him

Just got killed following AA(me) vs KJ

Raised, big stack re-raised, i pushed all in, flop came 9 10 Q

:( Finished between 901 to 990
 
Part of me is glad I only play freerolls and not with my own money any more.

KJ vs K9 (big stack keeps hitting miracles to win pots, clueless)

Kh Jh 6d flop, she bets 400, I raise to 1500, she puts me all in for 2.4k more, I snap call knowing she's probably drawing. Turn 10c, River Qc. That's me out.

JJ vs 2-2, I call his push preflop thinking i'm in a race, in fact he's crushed.

Board: 2-2-5-8-J. J on the end just to take the ****

AQ vs K-10

43 left, top 27 get paid in this. I'm SB (60k stack) (1200/2400), UTG (120k) min raises to 4800, me and BB call.

AJ3 rainbow flop. I check, BB bets 2.4k, UTG raises to 8k, I 3-bet to 17.6k. BB folds, UTG calls. Turn Q. Gives me 2 pair so I bet 25k into the 60k or so pot, he put me all in and of course I call, and of course, he miracled his straight.

WHY is AQ beaten so often online? It's mental. I know you're all thinking "well, it's freerolls, you're gonna get donked".. but it's ridiculously annoying time after time.

And another in a $2k GTD on stars..

A-10 vs K-9, board comes A-10-8 (I knew I'd lose from here, flopping 2 pair on stars always gets busted), turn 7, river J.

I don't think i'm patient enough to play poker, if i'm not getting any action I just play silly cards. I could also multi-table and see if that makes it more interesting I guess

On a serious note, glad to see nobody's badly hurt. They captured the moment the money was taken, which is on youtube too. Apparently one declared they had a bomb, which sent people into a frenzy.

Lol, nicely done. At the Redtooth game, we say 69 never loses, and it doesn't.

I made a FATAL mistake the other week, had K8 on a board of 865, put short stack all in, he calls with 69. I thought he had 66 and mucked my hand when the turn came a 10.. thankfully a 9 came on the river but I still mucked before the hand was over by mistake :eek:
 
Strange one from DTD tonight

I am BB and reasonably big stacked,lots of short stacks on table

3 all in sin fornt of me, biggest is 15% of my stack and less than 3x BB

I call with 44 getting good odds but expecting to have to improve

hands are KJ , A7 and 9Ts

44 holds up :eek:

now against 6 overcards I would say this is quite surprising

I have put it into 2 odds calculators, one came up with me at 21% and the other 27% both seem high to me
 
Can I just ask is it worth going after Poker bonuses any more, I've heard it was quite lucrative 2 or 3 years ago but now it's not worth it. Instead just stick to MBing and Casino bonuses nowadays.
 
All depends on how good a player you are

with casinos expexted returns can be used this is more difficult with poker

I treat them as what they are, a bonus

I take then if they suit but don't go looking for them

Try rush poker on Full tilt. No waiting when you fold, straight on to the next hand. Of course this means you win/lose faster, mainly lose if your me. :D
