ocuk prices :)

You're not imagining things, prices are definitely going up in price, even the items with plenty of stock (10+)

Last week the crucial C300 64Gb SSD was £113.96.

Its now on special at £117.49 with a previous price of £124.98?!?!?

I've had a system spec listed for some time, just waiting for my student loan to come through and some prices have increased by 20% over the past month or so. Maybe OCuk are expecting the student rush.

Like I said. Nobody is forcing you to buy from here.

Interesting first post to say the least..................

Or

This is a local forum for local people, we'll have no trouble here!

He wasn't exactly going "OmGz0rzzz!111 OcUK r epic fail. I'll nva by frm dem, [insert other company here] 4 life!"

Just pointing out some price changes, that most people have noticed. No need to go scaring off the new posters. ;)

It's probably just caused by a load of demand from people buying pre christmas shopping, because they know they'll have no money to spend on themselves soon.

It's pretty common as far as electronis go for prices to constantly fluctuate.
Supply and Demand, Dollar against the Pound.
And of course we live in good old rip off, tax you untill your dead Brittan :p

Don't get me wrong I've been buying components and systems from OCuk for years, as well as being within a 20 min drive away they've always been comparable on price.

Yes prices have gone up, but some others have come down.

My main gripe was the fluctuation in prices on a somewhat daily basis. The SSD in question was £113.96 at the beginning of this week, so how can it be on special at the end of the week at in inflated price of £117.49?

I know the electronics industry is very volatile, it always has been, but they really shouldn't take people for fools. If it gone up then its gone up, fair enough just don't try and kid people that it's something that it isn't.

service seems very good, but i can get equal service else where for less money.

out of my recent build now totaling upto around £1500, OCUK got £400 of my business, by spending my other £1100 else where, i saved about £150

Hi there

Prices go up all the time. They also come down!

Yes SSD's especially Crucials are moving upwards, they can't build them fast enough - FACT!

Yet NVIDIA cards particular GTX 460's have come down a lot and are now creeping up slowly again, but way cheaper still than they were a week ago.

You cannot have pricing going down all the time, eventually this is result in a down turn in the economy and that would be bad. Prices do fluxuate up and down all the time.

Pricing is very fast moving when your buying stock in foreign currency, a minor small exchange rate change can result in pricing increases or reductions. This is just the way it is.

is it just me or are ocuk prices steadily increasing

Not sure since I don't check daily or monthly for that matter. If I'm in the market for a new piece of hardware, I search exhaustively from pretty much every single e-tailer in the country. OCUK come out on top more often than not.

yeah i noticed prices vari as well... i was trying to buy a oc combo a few months back and was put off due to the credit card not working, and then it did the price was up a bit.{this was due to a better chip getting used} so i was a little peeved. but to be honest if you sold 20 items of x and 2 items of y, y being the best there is and x been the crappiest. a seller would lower the price of x and up the price of y.

this is common sense to a point.

i look around my local computer store and they don`t have anything near the stuff ocuk have. i live in glasgow and they are postitively behind in the times. the q8300 and amd x4 are the biggest thing, but online 6 core and better mobo and ram are the best which only found of great places like ocuk.......

yer agreed with gibbo prices change depending on popularity same with graphics cards and case's just wait and see if what you want goes into the daily deal or the weekly :)
