hey guys i'm really panicking and lost now =[

i sent off my 560ti for RMA, had OCUK address on the box and the RMA Number, but no return address and i sent it off as Recorded Signed For.

So today i came back from work and check the royal mail track and trace and it said
"We were unable to deliver item AIXXXXXXXXXGB on the 21/07/11 12:37 as the addressee refused to accept it. The item will be returned to NEWCASTLE-UNDER-LYME to be returned to sender"

i am so lost of what to do now :S has this happened to anyone else before?

Don't panic!

Either give them a phone, or raise a query in the "OcUK Customer Service" sub forum.

No disrespect meant but ... discussing this sort of query on an open forum is usually not a good idea.

Good luck.

PS. I just had and RMA under the DSR turned round in 24 hours. So if you follow the rules to the letter, they are more than fair. Don't know another Etailer that responds this quickly and I buy computer bits from a number of sources and have done for the last 20 years or so.

PPS. The Royal Mail should not have accepted a parcel for Special Delivery Next Day (I'm assuming you used this) without a return address on it.

If you've got the proof of posting you should hopefully be able to retrieve the package without a return address, just more of a hassle.

yeah i sent it by recorded sing for, i got the track ID and everything, i'm soo curious why did they refuse it, they were expecting my 560ti and i had my RMA number on the box

One reason could be the RMA had expired (28 day limit). Either way, probably best to post in our Customer Service forum and our RMA guys can look into it tomorrow for you.

Status: We are currently waiting to receive this item.

I'm a bit surprised myself. I'm sure they will shed some light on the issue once you speak to them.

But I'll repeat what I said again

"The Royal Mail should not have accepted a parcel for Special Delivery Next Day (I'm assuming you used this) without a return address on it. "

So your local PO wants a boot up the backside in my opinion.

well the area i live in is the not best "/ but since i got my code and receipt i should be able to get my card back?
well £10 gone to waste then

OK just to clear up it was not the OCUK fault it was my stupidity i put the RMA order number not the RMA number on the box.

So now my graphics card is on it's way to Belfast, do you think if i asked the royal mail they could write the RMA number on the box and send it back to OCUK or should i just ask to return it?

How do they know where to return it if you didnt put your name and address on the back of the box?

Simply because when you send RMAs back to OCUK you clearly write your RMA number on the package on both sides.,OCUK will then have your RMA on record along with your name, address and the RMA description.

If no RMA number is on the package,if its poorly packaged, they will refuse delivery.

well it's a recorded delivery i phoned them up and they said once it's in Belfast call us up and we will sort something out. But i am wondering if i could ask them to scratch off the old wrong number i had and ask them to write the right RMA number and send it back to OCUK, because it would be few hundred miles closer than sending it back to me.

Why didn't you put a sender address on it?

its not unreasonable, I would never think of doing that when returning to a company with an rma attached (me aged 37, 18 years in IT), I always label the item twice incase the label gets damaged and include my address (but in the package)

were they supposed to send me an email or something with all the instructions?

i had
"Please view the RMA e-mail I have sent you for the details.

Regards,

Joseph Bailey
"

but did no get any other email apart that one
