Fox, the pizza was from Dominos, I chipped in a fiver and I guess a bunch of other people did too and they seemed to get as many pizzas as they could with that. Two large pepperoni, two margarita and a disgusting one with fruit on it :p

Notice how I can talk all day about pizza but I don't know diddly-squat about cars!
 
I feel robbed I got no pizza or even a drink. :(

P.S. My car was dyno'd at Powerstation today. made 399.4BHP corrected figure. It goes back in a few days with intercooler on, on the FQ-300 it gave an additional 18BHP, shall be interesting to see how the FQ-360 map takes too it. :)

The dyno at Eurospec is was under-reading, am pretty convinced of that and it seemed to under-read by circa 5%

I'd confidently say Powerstation over-reads by 2%

My car should be pretty much bang on 390BHP at the flywheel.

Clown pointed me in this direction, told me about your dyno days, thought I'd pop on over to see what's what as I'm a bit of a petrolhead junky.

I've read about some of the anguish with interpreting the dyno graphs.

I'd suggest that the dyno at Eurospec was reading accurate power that the vehicles were putting down in that environment on Saturday. Having seen the dyno plots that have been posted there is one atmospheric issue which would have caused your cars not to perform as 'expected'. Take a look at the groups of numbers in the bottom table on the print outs. The AT and IT numbers are quite important here. AT is the ambient temperature reading, IT is the intake temperature reading. Ideally the intake temperature should be as close to the AT temperature as possible. In some cases even below AT (when big intercoolers or water/meth injection is used). Some of them I've seen have had the IT temps way up in the 40s. High intake temperatures lead to reduced burn and heatsoak, thus reduced power, something you forced induction guys will be all too familiar with.

There is no fixed science as to the dyno reading up or down on power, everything is to do with the environment in which the car runs and how it reacts to those environmental conditions. Not being at the event I wouldn't want to call foul of the dyno operators, so wouldn't like to speculate as to why the intake temps are so high.

Hope this post doesn't alienate me and hopefully I'll be available to bring something to your next shootout event.

Congratulations to the Monaro for winning the shootout and keeping up the side for V8 muscle ;) I saw your post about more power on the HSV forum.

Didn't you have it on powerstations rollers a couple of months ago if not less?
 
Any particular reason for running it at PS, I'm assuming you went back to make sure you hadn't lost power?

PS seem fairly consistent, my runs varied by about 8bhp and they did 4 for some unknown reason.
