OCUK Rolling Road Meet 4 - Bolt on Goodies - Convoy Discussion

Hi there

I think the easiest method is to be tough but fair.
Basically if you not at the services by 7:15am everybody will be gone and on their way. :)

And tbh thats the best way, i hate hanging around for ppl that might turn up.

Also i aint doing silly speeds down the motorway this year, i was lucky to get off getting 3 points at the camping meet!

Twas on the way home, other two ppl i was following got nips, i hung back from overtaking a car but was still doing a indicated 70 in a 60, must have been about 65 in real terms!

Best of to stick at around 70-90ish with anything over 70 been for overtaking. Should average out approx 80mph.

As I said above, i'm aiming for a 75-80MPH indicated all the way down the motorway. I rarely go higher than that on the M6 (which I use daily). At least this way, I might actually have some fuel left when I get to powerstation :p

75 for me, it's off boost and means i will actually have some for the RR run itself :p

/goes off to check for the nearest shell station to Powerstation that sells optimax......

Already done ;) There is one just off J9 (the opposite way to powerstation).

Oh, and 80 is still off boost to me, in 6th :D

In ref to petrol stations, theres a BP garage right next to powerstation that sells BP ultimate if you get desperate.

all, please ensure you let your convoy leaders know NOW if you arent going to turn up, its seriously uncool to just not bother turning up without saying so...

I'm NEVER being that desparate again, it runs like poo in my car :(

Tesco's Super runs far better!

For all those who prefer the yellow and red, there is an optimax dispensing shell garage 2 miles away towards Tewkesbury centre. ;)

Ive had that crap in my car and its shocking. I actually find BP the best, maybe its just in my mind or when I use BP it is just a colder day.

I have to use Shell as a BP is miles away.
