OcUK shop shut

I haven't shopped with OcUK for a few years but called into their shop today to buy a fan, surprised to find it shut and click and collect only. I placed an order on line for click and collect and have received an email saying the shop is shut because of the current circumstances which I assume is covid? Are OcUK aware that 99% of the country is back to normal? Unless of course it is some other circumstances. Will the shop ever reopen?

I remember the days when people used to queue outside, it's sad to see the shutters down. Times have changed though.

Yes I do as well, that's probably why it shut as I was one of their regular customers and used to spend a lot of money in there (going back to the imex days). Still a shock to see it shut though.

So when I collect my item, where do I actually knock? I haven't got a mankini but I do have a mask.

This is why it's now click and collect only.

When they move to new premises later this year, the shop will be open again.

I am not a shop.

OcUK are a shop. Well, they will be :D

This forum has certainly changed since I last posted a few years ago. Most people used to be helpful, now most people are trying to be witty, clever or just plain stupid. How times change!

Thanks for all of the replies, most were bonkers though and I didn't understand them. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up the fan I ordered without wearing a mankini or a mask. My next order will be for delivery, but not from OcUK after this experience unfortunately.

I'm sooo scared. These forums have got sooo scary, iq level has dropped quite a bit but the scaryness has gone up
 
What a hostile lot you are. I've been a member of this forum for over 20 years and was one of OcUK's first customers and knew Spie in the early days. I'm absolutely appalled by what I have experienced on these forums today. This is not the OcUK forums that I remember and it's definitely not the OcUK I want to know in the future. Can a mod please delete my forum account.

You're being quoted multiple OcUK GD Memes. If you've not been around for a few years, you won't have seen them. Nobody means anything bad by it, I don't see anything aggressive in this thread at all.

It hasn't really changed over the years, it's just that you're a bit out of touch with various threads that have been posted in the past. I've been here for a similar length of time and it really isn't much different. I'm sure you'll remember various things from your time such as MYB and Spanky and Matthew-1985 with his Gillian Anderson obsession. It's all just new versions of the old stuff.

The forums outside GD are very different to GD itself. You'll still find all the people with all the separate interests there and they're not like GD at all.


No, we can't do that and I really hope you'll stick around. But if you want your account to be deleted, you have to request it using the method described in the privacy policy.
