*OcUK Silverstone Supercar500 Camping Meet*

Right Guys

Change of plan with the event details, dont worry the weekend is turning out to be evan BETTER :D. Ive been emailing a nice lady from silverstone trying to find out the plans and shes told me the timetable and details will be updated in the next few days.

The weekend is running 5th / 6th / 7th now so there might well be events on the friday which would meen we will have to get there earlier ( well you dont have too but thats an option ) Its called the "supercar 500" and on the 7th which is the sunday the FIA GT cars are going to be racing which is pretty sweet ( anyone play GTR ) Not sure on the rest of the weekend but as soon as i find out which will be in the next couple of days ill get it all posted.

Like I said yesterday, I did think it was odd that the "season finale" was 2months after it started but assumed it must have started earlier without me knowing.

Anyway, I go for the paddock wonder, hot car chicks, smell of racing fuel and a good laugh. Doesn't matter to much what cars are on the track, all good entertainment. What they need is a Mondeo race...
 
I've been ignoring this thread for quite a while mainly from my last experience camping wasnt the prettist and i had to most awful streak of bad luck as well, but now looking at the events you can put me down on the maybees and i shall check with my diary and work arrangments see if i can get the time off.

Sounds good, same ticket price for all 3 days?
 
Stick me down as a maybe pleeeease. The outline of events sounds pretty decent, top location & should be good weather as well. Could be quite a big OcUK motors meet.
 
Any idea when the weekend tickets will come on sale?..
Also any idea how much, even a ball park figure would be good. Got a lot of holidays planned this year, just need to do some budgeting
 
I think it worked out about £80 in total for the weekend last year, that was for everything. Fuel, camping, silverstone ticket, drink & food! The laughs we're free!

Ohh that's pretty good I was expecting the Silverstone ticket to be a bomb (not literally before some one says it)..
 
The silverstone ticket was £18 last year , the pub oviousley depends on how much you drink and eat. Food wise for the BBQ's what £15 / Beer for the camping - £20 errr and then food for the 2 days @ silverstones ( burger vans ROCK ) £20 / then your camping pitch which if you bring your own tent is £35 and then your fuel

Sooo £100 on a budget i spent around £150 i think

ok well i will be interested in this if i can convince the girlfriend. i was going to go to last year but something came up at work and could not come :( So put me down as a maybe i might even bring the girlfriend if they are allowed she is kinda interested in cars.

I see you're from Bristol, I'm currently in Westbury-on-Trym (I work here). Going over to Abbeywood in Filton on Feb 20th though to start a new post.


I guess I can come and meet you guys somewhere then head off down?
