My Antec 1200 just isnt cutting it any more so I've decided to upgrade my case to the obsidian which I will mod... Along with my entire water loop and PSU and I will also braid my PSU. (Long road ahead of me!)

I plan on getting:
- Bitspower Mosfet and NB/SB blocks for my P6T deluxe v2
- Swiftech Apogee XT for my [email protected]
- When GT300 comes out I'm gonna buy either the 360 or 380 but most likely the 380 and then slap a waterblock straight on that baby!
- Upgrade my 850W Galaxy to a Corsair HX850 and braid that with MDPC cable braid
- A quad rad to put in the top of my obsidian and a bitspower mesh radgrill (a great idea that I got from noeru doing it in his obsidian over at Xs)
- Noiseblocker 120mm silent fans (transparent blue blades with a black shroud)
- A Bitspower 250ml res

My build right now:
- [email protected]
- P6T deluxe v2 cross flashed to v1 BIOS 0006
- 6Gb G.Skill Trident @ 1678Mhz@6-7-7-20-1T
- EVGA GTX 260 Core 216 SSC @ 750/2580/1575 (will get gt300 and a waterblock later)
- Crucial 64Gb SSD (might get a 2nd one if they release firmware for trim in RAID)
- WD Black 640Gb
- Enermax Galaxy 850W (changing to a HX850 fully braided)

- Swiftech Apogee GTZ (changing to a Swiftech Apogee XT)
- Laing MCP655 vario (keeping)
- Masterkleer clear 7/16" tubing (changing to PrimoFlex Pro LRT Black Tubing 7/16")
- Thermochill triple 120mm rad (changing to Termochill quad)
- Feser double 120mm rad (keeping)
- Dangerden fatboy 1/2" barbs (keeping)
- EK multioption 100 (changing to Bitspower 250)

My PC right now (I know the cable management is a mess!!):

I have taken the HDD racks out and am STILL waiting for the quad rad grill!
Which means I will have to wait even longer to cut the hole in the top of my case to fit my quad rad :(

Cable braid arrived with a cool picture from Nils at MDPC :D

I am going to be doing the 1st layer of my 24 pin and 8 pin with black braid/blue shrink and then the 2nd layer will be blue braid/black shrink for contrast. Hopefully when the cables fan out they will look good alternating black and blue

This is currently how far I am with my 24 pin

Looks good, can't wait to see this fin.

Really like the Bitspower stuff :D

Loving this will be watching to the end :)

good skills NAM,

i have tought you well :D

your photography is excellent!

really liking the bitspower blocks and the braiding

looking forward to seeing you butcher that obsidian! *Revvs the Dremel* Muah ha har!

Thanks for the replies guys! It's gonna be a fun build!

Thanks for the advice about the tri-pod rjk, that is the only reason that the photos look good!

Finished the 24-pin now so heres a sneak peek!

Nice, nice, nice

more pics!
this is looking awesome, makes me want an 800D :o

very nice indeed......very good braiding! I think I am trying not to do mine for as long as possible as I am lazy

Thanks guys, I have ordered some more things over the weekend so they should arrive this week hopefully!

Really looking forward to this delivery as I have made a couple changes to things in my build but you will see soon enough! ;)

Looks like this is gonna be a pretty sweet build! Loving all the bitspower parts, always add a bit of style to a rig :) Nice ide with the braiding on he 24pin cables, looks like it'll work out nicely

Thanks! I hope it does turn out pretty nice!

I'll try to braid the rest of my PSU cables today as we have had 5 or 6 inches of snow so far so I can't make it in to work! :(

How do you get the pins out the 24 pin to braid the cables wanted to do this myself but couldn't get them out and didn't want to break it

I have borrowed my colleagues 'Sunbeam PSU modding tool kit'. It works a treat!

Looking good there mate, hurry up with that modding kit I want it!

Loving the Bitspower -

Dictionary definition of Bitspower = Actual WIN.
It is a fact. :D

Are you using any other bitspower fittings or just the converters for the rad?

Hmm i may have ordered some 1/2" matt black bitspower barbs, matt black stop fittings, matt black rotary angle fittings, a black sparkle mod kit for my d5 and a bitspower multioption 250ml res but we will have to see won't we ;)

BTW I have absolutly no idea when they will arrive as i bought them all from the states but we will see!

stop squabbling you pair or i will demand my psu tools back! :D

and hurry up with my dremel too! i need to see results!

i am eagerly awaiting the pic of the p6t deluxe with those bitspower blocks on

MMMMMM

Don't worry, you will get them back :D eventually hahaha

Finishing my 8 pin CPU cables tonight and hopefully after that it is one day for each of my pcie cables and thats it!

As for my mobo, until performance pcs get the 480 bitspower black radgrill in stock, I will not be able to finish my build or do any dremeling :(

Strange how the 480 bitspower rad grill seems to only be sold by one company in the entire world :( can't wait to get it though!! :D

Well then, after a hell of a long time of waiting, buying, picture taking, braiding (my fingers got covered in callouses) and building, I now have some pics of a very nearly completed computer!

And yes, I have decided to go with matt black bitspower barbs and rotary angle fittings!

More pics to come with the fluid and cables in!

The quad rad grill that i ordered was a silver aluminium bitspower mesh grill and I am wondering if anyone has any ideas on what I can paint it.

I have some matt black spray but I am not sure whether I could do its frame in matt black and maybe the mesh in either matt black aswell or a dark blue.. What do you guys think?

personally i would have looped the cpu outlet to nb inlet in a straight line rather than bending it, just looks neater

give it a try if you havent already filled. obviously its your call

Unfortunatly, I did try that but they were too close together and believe it or not the way you see was literally the ONLY way I could get it connected without kinking!

I am lucky I had a couple of 90 degree fittings spare eh?

Thanks for the good words guys, I can't wait till it's finished either :D

great build mate, loving that pump mod kit! :)

Thanks, its really hard to take pics of it since it seems that it is a magnet for dust!

Great build, loving the bitspower parts. that gpu block looks amazing. :)

Thanks, performance pcs sent me the wrong one but this one isnt too bad haha. I ordered the matt black one but never mind ;)

how come the coolant is so many £££'s!?

If you want the best, price is no issue ;)

Lets just say at 4.2Ghz and 1.3v (loose voltage, not bothered to tweak it) and an ambient temperature of roughly 20c, my coldest core is at 25c and hottest is at 31.

I will be running prime95 in a min to see the load temps :D

Is Nano-Fluid the best though? All I can find is PR and a bunch of people on XS slating it sayng its probably not real Nano fluid at all, and is PR crap just like the rest of the Fluid XP line. I mean I genuinely want to know, but this fluid has been available for a year now and I cannot find a single review on it...

yes, it is much better than any fluid we have ever used at work before and much better than any fluid any of my colleagues have used at home in their own rigs.

It is very viscous so quietens my d5 which allows me to have it on max speed running silently, looks good and not to mention runs my cpu at 4.4Ghz @ 1.392v full load on 64-bit prime at a maximum of 80c (in the same loop as my fully watercooled board and 5870)

to have it that low in my opinion shows it is not a fluid to overlook when comparing top end fluids.

My personal beleif and from what we have experienced at work is that nano-fluid is infact the best fluid you can get

where did you get that reservoir from then?

America ;)

And where did you get the blue nano fluid from??

America again haha!

that liquid sounds quite intriguing. I look forward to some load temps

Will be posting some soon! I'll prime my PC now while I wait for my rad grill to dry.
The matt black one was out of stock for too long for me so i bought the silver one and some matt black spray ;)

Just uploading pics to photobucket now, got everything apart from the finished rad grill as it is still drying! Expect pics of the grill in about 3 hours!

Uploading 4 more pics now, just realised from a guy on another forum that there isnt a pic of the entire thing and there isnt a pic of it with the side panel on! Doh!
