[OcUK Staff Builds] rjkoneill's Home Server

You really do need some speakers the size of the world trade centre.

For movie watching, I prefer my 22" monitor and wharfedale speakers to my brother-in-law's 47" TV but using the built in speakers - I wouldn't mind both, but the sound seems to add more than the visual - especially considering my total cost was lower.

just slammed 3x 2TB drives and a bluray rom in there.

need more sata ports so the optical drive is unplugged at the moment.

getting to grips with XBMC currently. why didn't i do this sooner.

I suppose this is probably a long shot,

is there a way of connecting my tablet/smartphone to the computer via bluetooth so that i can use the tablet as a remote control/mouse/keyboard combo?

Yes there is, i use an app called mobile mouse server which connects my iphone up to my computer via wifi so i can use it as a mouse when im in bed lol.

There's also an XBMC media remote app, which just controls the media functions - it works superbly and is less fiddly than the mouse options.

Because you waited for me to decide to build a HTPC and copied? :)

Seriously though every home should have a HTPC, they are the best thing ever.

I do have one question though RJK. Where are your twin towers? (Speakers?)
