Last time i recorded was with fraps and it ate every kb of space
Ill give xfire a go, not used that since the days of cod4

No, seems fine at my end. I played all my lag tests whilst recording just in case and there were no issues....

I had same problem recording with xfire: huge fps drops and cant seem to correct that.
Systems not top of the line but it's no slouch eaither. I7, 12gb ddr3, 7970 card....must be something else causing the drop. (checked options and tried 30, 60, 100fps recording)

Its much better if I select half video size
Now all I need to do is figure out how to record my voice since the latest version of Xfire doesn't have that option
Ah! Yes, if I remember correctly, it is at half size!!
I'm positive you can include mic input because for a very brief moment I thought about doing it!!!

Rob got it recording my microphone but the image is blank, how do you select the screen region?

Yeah, I tried OB first and found it to be pixel city!
Increase the bitrate from 1000 to 2000 and it works a treat! No lag, clean picture love it
