thats not far off

the user uses it for chess benchmarks and media

i can assure you that it is the fastest pc i have ever used - by a country mile

the customer is an exceptionally nice guy and is looking into the dual socket i7 platform for his next build - there is even talk of a mountain mods ascention :D

the builds featured are all mine so far but i have recently started configuring the systems so am building less

we have a black widow system being built at the moment that i will post up when finished - it really is impressive

also - we are selling a lot of vulcan systems - i will do my best to get a broad range of pictures tomorrow for you guys

thanks for the kind comments - im glad to have the thread back!

also today - all OcUK prebuilt systems come pre-installed with a CardKeeper device

this device bolts onto the pci plate of the case and acts as a brace for larger graphics cards

the reason for doing this is to eliminate the possibility of damage in transit.

Heres a card keeper on a GTX260

and here are a pair of cardkeepers on the GTX295 SLI system

[note the OcUK Mugs in 'SLI' :D]

'Primo Pro' built by Bill

a quiet little system - would be ideal for use as a family PC
or even a budget HTPC

'Primo Elite SLI' built by Locky

SLI on a budget - these two 9500GT cards use SLI technology for nearly triple the performance in some applications

Overclocked Biostar T-Power Bundle
STA40686.jpg

all the overclocked bundles on the website come straight into the tech department
here we set them up and ship them to customers with the bios pre-overclocked and the chip installed

Ahhh.. I see it now. :D
Thought it was a plume of soot coming from the heatsink. ;)

no - Locky knows what he is doing :D

Be happy in the knowledge that seeing the photos of those i7 systems made me take the plunge on Thursday and replace all my quad bits with shiny new i7 stuff :D

Computer = 1, Bank Balance = 0

good work reflux - how you finding it?

Lies! (as far as i know).

Does ocuk post out the watercooled PCs with the water sloshing about in the loop or empty and with the water bottles for the buyer to fill? First has the risk of the reservoir fillport leaking in transit second has the potential to put of buyers who don't know/don't want to fill it.

its not lies! - the 9500gt's do perform close to triple the performance in some applications

they scale really well and make for a really good budget gaming system

as for the watercooled rigs

they are filled, bled properly and shipped full - ready to run
the watercooled rigs are only built by the technicians with watercooling knowledge and are securely fitted with hose clamps, ensuring leaks dont happen

i will be bringing my camera to work for the next couple of days

hopefully we can get some pics of a few more systems

im planning on getting some pics of the £500 i7 6GB bundle we have started doing

myself and Locky both sat down and worked the bundle out

it overclocks really well and we are both really pleased
we both wanted to get a bndle that had the all important 6gb of memory but at an accessable price
i paid nearly £500 for my chip and memory alone at launch so it really is impressive!

in part it is also due to AndyOcUK negotiating some very aggressive pricing with memory suppliers

the ocz kit used in the bundle allows for really tight timings - which is great for the price of the kit on its own!

we are working on a few more overclocked bundles too!

we can do custom builds too - speaking to the sales team over the phone means you can have any combo of harware you like

rjk built me a system i7 3.6GHZ 280GTX SLI its freakin awesome i will defo be buying from OCUK Again next year :)

he probs will remember me, as i customized mine a far bit :D with 2 blu ray & cosmo S

i do remember! - hows it going mate?
the system still going strong?

sorry we hav'nt updated this thread as of late, we have been very busy, but new pics will be posted tomorrow, wont they rjkoneill ;)

yes they will Locky - i will grab a few snaps

looking forward to seing the bundles :p

i will be sure to snap up some pics

they are fairly boring - just boxes etc - but will show a few more whilst we configure :)

we do indeed - the OcUK Tech department have been hard at work! :D

here is one of the high end ones 'Ultima Mobile - 15.4" WSXGA' built by Mario

it still has the protective films on as we need them to stay pristine for customers
but the brushed aluminium finish underneath looks brilliant

here is sharpygsxr's bundle

he has been chatting with me over the last few days on what to get and he finally settled on the i7 920 UD5 Overclocked bundle

a great choice in my opinion as i really like the Gigabyte UD5

Locky has been doing the bundles recently and has done a great job

STA40728.jpg

here it is with a profile for 3.6GHz
STA40735.jpg

nice and stable!

and here it is with a profile for 3.8GHz
STA40741.jpg

we test all bundles at a higher speed than they are shipped to make sure they are stable - in this case the profile for 3.8 has also been saved into the BIOS as it is rock solid!
obviously this depends on each chip but provides a nice little bonus to each customer

as always - if you want to see anything in particular or need a question answered then dont hesitate to ask!

the system builder is a good idea but hard to implement to please everyone

a lot of the custom systems are best ordered over the phone so our sales staff can advise on the best parts for your budget :)

didn't know you worked there rjk

see you on l4d later :)

ha ha - yeah! hustler and killer uk are ocuk tech department too!

hence all the mickey taking

Wouldn't a system builder please more people than the current options?

I already know which items I'd want for my budget. Are you saying I could ring up and ask for the exact spec I wanted?

the system builder would be hard to implement
we could only have a certain amount of time to dedicate to making the endless combinations of hardware

there is too much room for error - and the systems we have represent a wide spectrum of hardware - its tested as it is - we know it works

if you wanted a certain system of ours with some changes - then calling sales would allow you to change hardware to your liking

that's why we employ telephone sales staff to accommodate for things like this :)

hope these answer the cable management queries :)

on that card - yes

yo need to look for corruptions
black dots on the screen - anything that looks like tearing or images not being rendered properly

prime you need to look for blue screen shutdowns and worker threads stopping

make sure cpu temps dont go above 80'c
i use Realtemp 3 for this
