I voted for Clyne. Ivanovic is also great but this season whilst he has been excellent defensively I don't think he has done as much going forward as he has done in previous seasons. I think that Clyne has done a good job in both parts of playing in the RB position (attack and defence).

Probably. Part of the issue with Ivanovic is that Mourinho has coached the attacking side of his game out of him to a degree. There are so many matches, especially in the latter half of the season, where Chelsea have simply parked the bus, so it's unsurprising really.

The restricted Ivanovic has scored 4 goals and got 5 assists this season compared to 2 goals and 0 assists for Clyne. And Ivanovic has only ever scored more in a season once, by just 1 goal too.

I wouldn't miss a chance to criticise Mourinho but that's an odd criticism to lay at him. Ivanovic looks better than he ever has going forward in the last 18 months or so.

He's got 4 goals and 5 assists so far this season with 3/1 last.
That's pretty much in keeping with his 3 previous seasons when he had 5/1, 4/4 & 1/5.
He definitely hasn't had any of his attacking side coached out of him to any degree.

Edit: What Baz said...

Clyne gets my vote.

Honorable mention to Ivanovic.

Just realised I missed the left back, glad Azpilecueta(sp) got it :)

Maybe it's just the impression I have. I'd be interested to see whether those goals and assists were in the latter half of the season, because I certainly can't remember any of them.

Of course some of it is down to the way Chelsea play as well - they simply score loads of goals from set pieces. I'm sure Terry has at least 5 goals as well. What other team has a set of defenders with that many goals I wonder? Southampton certainly don't play like that, and Clyne is a totally different type of RB.

Ivanovic scored 3 in Feb & 1 in Jan & the rest were before that.
Chelsea have 15 goals from set pieces this season, the same as Arsenal & Tottenham and more from open play than anyone else.
At least two of Terry's goals this season have been from open play too if I'm not mistaken.

Onto the Right backs. So far De Gea and Azpilicueta are in the team, both by a veritable landslide.

I missed the vote for left back but would have voted for Azpilicueta, however I think Bertrand is having a really good season too and deserves some credit.

Clyne for me at right back.
