Thanks for this. Very useful :D.

I'll be idling in there whenever I can play a game.

Current Games that I play online:

Lock-on Flaming cliffs
Steam pack (HL2, L4D, CSS DODS etc.)
Americas Army
Microsoft FSX

Can use this for anything you like, just i have a pair of dedicated servers with nothing on em, might aswell help where i can.

Ill set some admin accounts for those that asked, PM me a username and pass you would like to use...

Just got a mate on the server and the quality seems quite poor compared to other servers we've been on, anything you can do to change that mate?

edit: You may also want to set your default codec to the highest one possible so that you don't get people complaining about the quality :)

Like the idea of it but, TS is just so bad in quality wise compared to Vent and vent i think is more user friendly.

Who needs user frinedly? anyone who is looking to use a comms tool does not need user friendly... If you wanna be pickey, why dont you get you bloody money out? i offer these servers (game servers aswell) and you have the boots to sit there and digg it. Pfft...
It will die at about 2400 users (EST) my server has the power to hand but the bandwidth would be out of this world.

They're the same quality if you use the right codecs. Absolutely no difference.

And if you're so bothered about quality, teamspeak and vent are both far surpassed by Mumble/Murmour.

I had a recent conversation about this with a friend, this is a prime example. In my first bf2 clan i had numerous problems with actually finding the correct place to enter the server details and then how to connect. As well as setting devices up and such.
This was also the same when i tried TS 2 years later when the same friends clan TS.

I do have my own bloody money out, as i have my own rented ventrilo server that is available to friends family and general larking about.

I have also partly paid for and set up game servers for other clans that is was in at the curremt time. These were popular and ran smoothly.

Ventrilo was adequate for my needs as i see that when using vent the quality deminshes when the users microphone isnt the best. For example mine is a 1 pound jobby but picks up a lot of background noise.
Vent is also easily available, cheap and i get a discount due to some of packages i purchased, good support and good amount of options.
One of the easiest programs to use as i find everthing adequately placed, and UI is good.

And before any more commments are made, i never meant to have a pop at it as i do believe it is freely available and no one should complain.
If you dont ask, you dont get.

Nice, this could do with getting stickied though as the thread might get lost!

Speex 25.6Kbps is actually pretty decent for speaking :)
(I use Vent, and hire a TS server myself)
