Is there any chance of the 1440p 144hz monitor being on demo?

What are they like if you was to downscale the res to 1440p on them? would they look as crisp as a native 1440p res panel? (if for example the text in some games was too small cos of the high res)

I read a review of one that apparently dealt well with 1080p images really well but not sure about 1440p.

Makes sense that 1080p should look alright as it's literally half. I think it was the Asus screen.
