Hi guys,

As announced on stream last night!

In the first week of September we'll be running the inaugural Overclockers UK Twitch Stream Tournament. The first one will be fought out in PUBG and the prizes have been generously donated by our stream sponsors Steelseries and noblechairs.

On these dates we will run 4 heats and 2 finals, of 4 man squads on PUBG. Anyone can enter as long as they are available on the dates in question.
  • 19:00 Tuesday 4th September 2018 - Qualifier 1
  • 19:00 Thursday 6th September 2018 - Qualifier 2
  • 18:30 (Tier 2)/19:00 (Elite Tier BO3) Friday 7th September 2018 - Finals: Tier 2 and Elite Tier Final
You must enter a Squad of four and be available to play on either of the 2 dates for the heat and then the night of the finals. Only reply to this thread with:
  1. Team Name
  2. Your squad's 4 x player names (In game alias')
Then fill out the form HERE with the same team name and player names and an email address you are happy to receive further information required to participate in the tournament on.

The tournament will be held with the following rules:
  • PGI Settings (No redzone, faster circles, more loot)
  • FPP
  • Erangel Only

We will place every team in one of the qualifiers and notify on this thread what teams will be in which qualifier and on what date. The deadline for entries will be 00:01 Monday 4th September 2018.

On the night of the qualifier (or final) we will email each teams designated email address 30 mins before their match start with the name of the server and the password. We will also designate you a Squad number. When you join the server you and your teammates must join the assigned squad.

The teams placed 1-12 from each of the qualifiers will go and play in the final of finals while the remaining teams will play in the runners up final. The 25th team in each qualifier and finals will be an OcUK/Steelseries Squad.

We'll be streaming the tournament on our channel twitch.tv/overclockersuk We also stream regularly, usually Tuesday/Thursday evenings. Be sure to follow the channel or our Facebook/Twitter for updates on when we are live and what we will be playing!

Thanks for all the signups so far.

IT have sorted the email address now so signups will come through. Please email again if you had already tried. (I only tested it from an inside org email address DOH!)

Should also have a landing page up today with all tournament details on, and a form to make signing up easier.

We'll try but no promises! We'll allow switch outs of players for a short period after Qualifiers are announced.

We'll post up the heats on Monday so everyone knows when they are playing. if teams want to swap heats with another team then that will be fine as long as it's all sorted before midday tuesday.

If you wish to switch please arrange with another team on this thread and we'll accommodate you. We will email all the teams in each heat 30 mins before the match with server details and password. The heats will be a best on one to make it more random and the final will be best of 3.

There are bounties on OcUK and Steelseries players and the player with highest number of kills in each heat and final will also get a prize.

The first person to get a pan kill will also get a mystery prize!

Swapped

In respects of teams/players taking part who are not UK based, we implemented this rule because we physically don't have the means to ship some of the prizes to various countries. To ship something the weight of noblechairs to them can be prohibitively expensive!

I've emailed the 2 teams in question and asked them to provide 4 UK addresses to send the prizes to otherwise if they still wish to take place then should they win the prize will be forfeit and go to the next placed team.

Since there is no way of ip tracking or verifying player location, this is the only tool I have to police the rule that I can think of.


Looking forward to tomorrow evening now. Gonna be good to see the first 90 people playing and can't wait to see some elite tactics:

If your players have separate addresses in the UK we can send prizes to then they can play. It has been stated in the rules that the tournament is:

"only open to players in the United Kingdom."

If not then better to leave this one.

I thought it was pretty clear but maybe need to get a lawyer to make a T's and C's for the next tourney :)
