Tryed this RAM in my pc at home and it would not work and have RMA'd it so brought it into work to post it, but i though 1 would try them at work in a hp dc7700 and it works, RAM cpu-z and it said it was
PC2 8900 (555mhz)timings 5-7-7-25
OC Websaid said memory was pc2-8500 5 -5 -5- 15 but was showing in cpu-z at 5-5-5-18 pc2-6400 (the most this work HP will do it think)

Now my questions are
1, instead of sending it back today should it try it at home with the 5-5-5-18 timings 400mhz
2 try it with the 5-7-7-25 settings 555mhz,
3 if the 555mhz settings work is it worth keeping it in the system and forgetting the RMA, ie are these timings ok for pc2-8900

any options welcome as new to this RAM latency thing

Hi again

Definitely RMA it. You paid for PC8500 5-5-5-15 and you are entitled to memory that will run at those settings.

It won't boot in his PC. He had the same problems as myself and mine are currently sitting at OcUK HQ.
