I thought i would throw petrol onto the flames and point out that the US PC market is not the biggest in the world anymore, it is infact the EMEA region.
Out of the EMEA region, the UK is (only just though) the 2nd biggest consumer of PC hardware behind Germany. At its current rate of growth the UK PC market could become the number 1 regional market within 5 years.
So in terms of raw purchasing parity, there should be no large overheads for imports due to the economies of scale when in comparison to the US market.
Although there are various reasons for higher prices the simple fact is that British people will pay the extra money for products they want.
Why? We are, in comparison to most of the World - totally loaded !!!
