Never take a video on the quality of a display, especially as "the lenses are made for your eyes and not for the lense of a camera" Tyriel Wood.
We also don't know if these are pre production HMD's that these reviewers got.

Also, as mentioned, compression sucks, not forgetting to mention zooming in up to 500% on an already saved image will show artifacts.

Other videos have given different results from the same reviewer too.

@NikTheSHNIK I just called and was told you don't even have stock and don't know when it'll be in?! I bought on the assumption you would at least be SENDING on launch day, but find out it could be at least a week before I even hear anything

a bit misleading to say they'll be shipping on the 13th when they never even had stock though. had I known I would have gone elsewhere that I know have next day delivery and stock

I would say you will be in for a pretty good treat, especially if you plan to run PCVR over link cable. If so, then you need to grab Lone echo on the oculus PC store. It will blow you away!

still, no email from overclockers or a reply from my webnote sent a week ago asking when the units would be dispatched... I pre ordered on the 27th of September. I feel I won't be getting my quest 2 this week even though the original post in this thread said they would be shipping Oct 13th.

Post in the Customer Service forum, they're normally pretty good at responding quickly in there. The Webnotes/Calls will still be overwhelmed with 3080 queries.

It does however say 'should ship' not that it would. An update would be good but there wasn't any promise.

Odd how Overclockers don't seem to have them yet - I just checked a local retailer for click and collect and they have them available for immediate pick up today. Clearly stock levels are good so how come Overclockers didn't get any?

I put my order with OCUK a couple of days ago but I included a couple of elite straps with the headsets but they seem to be out of stock almost everywhere. I was wondering if OCUK do split shipments so in my case they will send the headsets now and the straps as soon as they are available. I am worried that if they don't there could be an indefinite delay. FYI I am an international buyer and I don't live in the UK.

Elite straps should be due to us on Monday/Tuesday next week. They and Carry cases were delayed. Carry cases may be here tomorrow.

Sorry we couldn't ship your headsets earlier so you could receive on launch day.

We could only ship on launch day, due to strict embargo.
