Oculus rift remove minimum spec warning?

Hello,

Has anyone successfully removed the oculus rift remove minimum spec warning? (recently) I've got two rifts one meets the spec and the other - CPU, AMD 8320 is the problem, although overclocked to 8350 speed. It runs all the games I play fine but the warning (on the home screen) is very annoying...

Download the Oculus Tray Tool: https://forums.oculusvr.com/community/discussion/47247/

In the "Service and Startup" section, select "Spoof CPU ID on tool start".

There used to be a way to manually edit a whitelist to stop that happening, but I'm not sure if you can anymore, so the Tray Tool is probably your best bet.

Thanks for the suggestion but I didn't think the tray tool worked anymore?
(I'll give it a go if I get time later)

Oculus tray tool still works. Just make sure you have the latest version.

I'm on 0.83.1 and it's not working for me, can't find a later version?

Not run it in a while but make sure the logged in user is a local admin otherwise it did have issues.

Cheers will give that a try later,
I think it might be something to do with the order I installed things as after spoofing my CPU (a Overclocked AMD 8320)
the CPU shows as a intel 4770 according the Oculus system checker
but I still get the min. spec warning within the home menu?

I get that message as well but i think its down to my built in unsupported USB3 ports than the actual cpu/gpu etc.

its bloody annoying as i have a dedicated usb3 card for the Rift itself, those ports just sit there.

Absolutely! It should be a warning that you can check to never show again...
