Oculus rift suddenly getting stutter :(

I think it started after I did the windows update and I had not updated it for a while.

On H3VR and dead effect 2 I notice it while I am walking.
And payday 2 just in the starting area the hands seem jittery not smooth at all.

I thought it was my graphics card driver so I have updated that and check for anything running in the task manager that should not be.
Also put steam VR on beta build to see if that helped.

One thing I that messed up when I did that windows update is my sound drivers stopped working so I had reinstall them.
I wonder if anything else got messed up as well after the update I need to fix.

My specs are.
Windows 10 64bit.
MB GA-Z170XP-SLI.
Phanteks PH-TC12DX CPU Cooler
Team Group Elite 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-19200C16 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit
i5-6600k @4.2 - This pre OC bundle from OCuk.

Have you teamviewer installed? If so, disable the service from automatic startup and restart the computer.

check drivers in most cases newest drivers are not always the best

I checked for teamviewer and I don't seem to have it.

And I will try a different driver tomorrow and see how that does.

So updating my list of tested fixes

Nothing in task manager running I don't need.
checked for teamviewer off.
Updated all my motherboard drivers.
Made sure game bar and game mode is off.
Checked senors.

I was using OculusTrayTool and locking the fps to 45 it was jumping below 40s.
Was H3vr standing still on shooting range so nothing going on that should make the fps go down like that.

Does it just happen with games you play on Steam or games you play in the Oculus store?

Have you disabled any GPU profiling/tweaking software like Afterburner or EVGA Precision? The can cause stuttering.

Check your under load Gpu temps, due to the recent warmer weather my card has been hitting upper temp limit and started throttling

Sorry for late reply, I had not much time to do more testing.

Shadowplay I don't have it.
No gpu tweaks and I done system reset so everthing been updated again.
GPU temps all good and none vr games work just fine.

I do think its when steam VR is running as well it stutters.
But I am sure this all started after I did windows update.

I will run more test this weekend and most fps from VR tool tray.
