Oculus Rift WHEN?

Recently went on Oculus website to find out about their orders, I was surprised to find out that NOW, orders will not be shipped until August? It seems one delay after another! I DONT want to order direct from the US, and would much prefer to buy from Overclockers. I am beginning to wonder if the Rift will be available in the PC stores before the end of this year?

I just got email few minutes ago from Oculus:

"Oculus Rift Retail Experience Kicks Off at Best Buy Locations May 7"

Now, obviously this doesn't address your concerns here in UK, but maybe we can guess that eventually such activities will spread.

strange mine is still Estimated Ship Date 5/30/2016 - 6/9/2016 on the website... very positive mini reviews regarding Oculus on these forums looking forward to getting one

Oculus screwed up everything about this launch. Period.

You will find them in retail stores but not until the autumn I'd guess?

Vive better than the Rift

hahahahaha

Read all the head to heads and you will see the Vive has problems and only the hand controllers make up for it.
Worse resolution, wrong affinity depth in games (probably hardware related), heavy, uncomfortable. Basically the Vive is an rushed enhanced Rift DK2 with wands.

I lost interest after the price went up after FB bought it out. when it was crowd funded the retail price was going to be about $350 they said.
But then again FB did spend buying it, what was it? 2 billion dollars, haha
