OCZ 2GB Platinum Series EL-DDR CAS2?

I do apologise for hijackin your thread m8 but you seem to have the same m/b & RAM as me.

Now i have my settings @ 2.3.2.5T1 can you tell me where the 5 @ the begining of urs comes from?? Also can you take a picture of the settings you have changed to get your RAM on these timings for me please.

Also about the m/b i have asked this before but didn't get many answers. Your northbridge cooler does it look like this on your m/b

I'm only asking because, I’ve been in touch with gigabyte and they haven't been much help...The cooler itself is just so loud and Intolerable to listen too 24/7. I can't even put a different cooler on because there is no room the graphics card is in the way.

(no one worry the 1394 cable isent on top of the cooler, it's raised about 5 inches over the top of it)

Is yours loud at all? I have turned all my other fans off and all I can hear is this little thing and believe me it is loud...I can hear it when I go out of the room.

As you can see there with the Zalman heatpipe on the graphics card, it rest on the top of the cooler with about 1mm to spare. What i need is a Northbridge cooler which is about half an inch in height or it would hit the heatpipe on the Zalman.

no worries, the timings are the same as yours and the fan is not mine is the smaller version and as my board was the 1st revision, i think you may have the newer one.

Cheers for replyin....i didn't check on my m/b to see if it was the 2nd revision....though i have asked Gigabyte for a replacement fan for it...i did give them the serial number of the board so they should have known what revision and what cooler was on it, but they didn't because they sent me just the fan which goes inside this one

which i told them it was the wrong fan, they sent then they sent the whole fan :rolleyes:

Looking @ the cooler there which is actually on the right hand side of the graphics card slot I wonder if a zalman passive cooler would actually fit....and would a zalman passive cooler be sufficient enough with the heat rather than the fan.

If you look at this picture, which was taken before the installation of the heatpipe...you get a better view of the cooler itself.

Though with the heatpipe on i don't know if a passive cooler would fit underneath...my only best bet is to buy one and see if it actually fits...or measure how much space i have between the pipes and the cooler.

Which side is the actual cooler cooling down on these things, which side is the chip on??
 
I assume the actual chip is on the top side if you understand me, above the graphics card in that picture. You could try a zalman passive NB and bend the fins like people do with their Dfi Ultra Ds

No I dont think ocuk sell these, that Zalman you pictured was the one I was talking about, the pins are relatively easy to bend I think
