Hi there

What kinda funny is the fact that OCZ don't build these cards. They actually come from the same factory as all the other 8800 cards so I'd certainly like OCZ to show me this extra screening they supposedly do. In other words I don't believe a word of it, they are the same as any other 8800 card I would suspect.

I thought newer GTX's were going to start arriving with moded designs (newer componants , better fans etc) and the GTS's were going to remain basically the same?

Hmmm seriously tempting me... if they had a nice fancy chrome "XTC" style heatsink it would tip the balance... the lack of FSAA + HDR in Oblivion is starting to get under my skin... but I don't really need an upgrade atm.

Ohh really, you say you don't need an upgrade?

Oh well, I'll just continue playing Oblivion with HDR, everything max, AA 16xQ and AF 16x

I play at 1680x1050, fps goes down to about 35fps during heavy parts, but otherwise between 45-60fps(vsync on). Inside the castle(partly outdoor castle), I get steady 60fps

x2 [email protected] and 2gb of poor ocz ram, running at stock speed and timings 2-3-2-5.

I have to mention one thing though, the landscape looks pretty poor from a distance, is that normal? Close up it looks excellent.

captnkills landscape pack is better imo... I have his object pack, landscape pack and borderlands landscape pack and they look pretty good... you do need a 512Mb GPU tho and they do impact performance a bit... but they make a huge difference to the distant landscape... no more childs drawing look.
