So,

I've read up on the subject a little & i think i've figured out my problem.

This is my basic setup.

I5-2500k (Overclocked to 4gh'z)
Gigabyte Z-68 UD-3 MOBO
120G OCZ Agility 3 SSD
2 TB Seagate HDD
ATI 6970 MSI Turbo

My problem seems to be my SSD - I never get BSOD when just using using windows, but the second I start to play games which are installled on my SSD I get regular BSOD's (note : windows is also installed on my SSD - the standard HD is for games i don't play often + movies/music).

Leage of Legends is a perfect example of this - I got BSOD daily until I simply copied the folder to my HDD & played it there.

But what I don't get is why does my OS not crash if it's my SSD which is causing the problems?.

The BSOD error code is 0x00000F4 (0x0000000000000003,0xFFFFFA801058DB30 (iirc) it fails to write the memory dump.

I'll try to get a SS of the error from a photo from my phone

Another quick question,

I've got two PC's, an old backup one & my current with an agility 3 (both have windows 7 installed).

Would it cause problems to simply put my agility 3 in my old PC to update the firmware?, from windows on the old machines old standard HDD?

That would be fine - I had to do it a little while back for a machine at work. Couple of random blue screens with the agility 3 per week. Upgraded the firmware using an old pc as the boot machine - have had no problems with it since.

I did take a full image of it though, just in case.

Managed to get the firmware updated to the newest version last night.

Now I get to play the BSOD waiting game - let's hope I don't see it.

Don't remember that boards BIOS as i didn't have to with previous SSDs, but if theres a feature to turn off hot plugging/swapping, do so. Seems to have solved my Agility 3's BSOD problem.

Thanks,

Well it's been two days scince the firmware update, playing plenty of games, even installed a few on the SSD.

Still no BSOD.

May have fixed it, but it was sporadic beforehand.

Fingers crossed.
