OCZ Agility 3 dropping out/freezing?

Might be worth also trying running for a while with a lower overclock on any cpu, memory timings etc. It seems that what appears to be a stable overclock can be borderline for SSDs. I had loads of problems with my SSD but following a suggestion on the OCZ forum I slackened some tight memory timings and reduced the overclock on my northbridge and never had another problem.

There is loads doing it. Mine is boxed up ready to send back.

Incompatibility problem I was told..

Mine just started doing it today, 1 week or so after purchase.

Locks up about 2-3 mins after getting into windows. Hour glass stops spinning just long enough to click on something and then it hangs again for a little while.

Have changed, cables, sata port, etc.

Managed to keep it going long enough to get disc image onto my old raptor.

May be my first and last SSD for a while.

Ordered one of these the other day, and since then ive read nothing but people having problems with them. To late to cancel the order, ive already got it into my head that i will be sending it back. :( Is there anyone out there who hasnt had any problems?

I think I am one of the unlucky ones as well. Installed mine last night and loaded a copy of Win7 64 bit on it. My mobo is a Giagbyte P35C-DS3R, my CPU is an intel Core 2 Quad. Nothing is over clocked.

Had the computer on all day and have been installing stuff with no problems. However was playing the witcher 2 tonight and was about 30mins in when the screen froze for about 10 seconds and then the computer restarted on its own.

When posting through the drives on start up the Agility 3 was not detected and as such it then reported no boot disc. I then hit the power button and restarted the computer and the Agility 3 was picked up. I figure that it must have been the Agility 3. As this is the only new bit of hardware in a computer that has been running fine for over a year now.

Think I am gonna just RMA it. If no one else was reporting problems I would probably tinker a bit, however I just do not have the time and it seems problem are pretty rife. I might as well get a replacement which is a different/older/more reliable model.

New FW has been installed on the drive I installed last night. It remains to be seen if it's detected this avro when I get home.

Right those instructions on updating the firmware on the OCZ forums are not straight forward.

Can some one just clear up this for me; it seems that I cannot update the firmware on my agility 3 as it is my primary drive.

So am I right in thinking I have to install another copy of windows - say Vista, on another partition or drive and then update the firmware on the agility 3?

Boot from a Linux live CD/USB and use the Linux update tool on the OCZ forums.
