Ive just bought 2 x OCZ Agilty 3's and put them into a Raid 0 Config.

Are these results right? Should my read speed be more?

System Im running is as follows:-

i7 2600k (cooled by a Coolermaster V8 replaced stock fan with a Noctua)
Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD4
8gb Corsair Vengance C8
GTX 590
Corsair ax850 psu

Could you possibly make it a bit smaller mate? It's a bit too big for my G19 Keyboards display.

Cheers :D

Those results look bang on at double the advertised speeds (at 128k an up) since you have them in RAID-0.

I have been running two Vertex 2E in RAID-0 since just before christmas and the onboard garbage collection has kept performance the same all this time, just as if it had TRIM. Before you ask, garbage collection on OCZ drives (that have it) is run automatically in the background, it is not user run like TRIM can be.

Yes I was aware of the garbage collection on these drives running whilst idle. I beleive TRIM doesnt work on any RAID drives.

To me the read speeds look spot on however id of expected the write speeds to be higher? Not really a biggy as these bad lads are quck as you like however there is always a need for improvement lol

My question is, does it feel any faster, do games or apps or anything you use feel faster compared to 1 drive? Does windows load faster? Cheers mate.

Only just installed it today. However I can say that a speed increase is definately noticeable.

Id say a slight increase in boot time by a couple of seconds. The big noticeable difference is with the loading of applications. Adobe Lightroom for example loads almost instantly where as before it would still take a bit of time to load under one ssd.

Also noticed a big diffence when re-installing all my software, a lot faster than before!

All in all a worth upgrade! Was just curious as to why the write speeds were benching alittle lower than anticipated

Can give two answers to that.

I originally had a C300 64gb.

Upgraded to 1 x Agility 3 and was impressed. I noticed the bench results from putting 2 together in raid so bought another.

So from 1 x Agility 3 to 2x Agility 3 there was noticeable difference?

Are these the 64gb ones? Thanks :)

:p got me all thinking of getting two of those now! But all this complaints about them is a bit off putting. Would rather not go with OCZ again this time, but never know.

yeah i know what you mean. Both mine are on 1.06 firmware and so far have not caused me any grief. No BSOD (well none from the hdds lol). Im in the camp that believes the issue is with certain setups / bad image transfers etc.

My first drive is from one of the first batch (cardboard coloured border), my second is from the recent batch which is colour coded around the outside. First one had to be manually updated and the second came pre-installed with the latest version.

Lot of speed for the outlay. I believe OC are doing them for £95 at the mo:D

:(

Well, I will stop thinking about getting these and raiding them then. Too many people having issues. Will stick with buying a single Corsair Force 3 120gb and maybe get another and raid it sometime down the line.

Hope you fix your problem.

Yep id at least hang back to see what happens.

Im not going to RMA them as I think its just a matter of a FW update. Tinkering with them at the mo so we shall see
