I have bought an Agility 3 OCZ roughly 3 months ago maybe more ill have to see if i can find the reciept. When i first installed windows on the 120gig hdd it was performing well, I had the BIOS setup in the SATA menu as raid as i am running 2 1TB HDD's together and for that extra performance reason.

The results were showing on a test using HDTUNE as 501MB/s average was around 420+

Its been a little while and had to format my machine due to a nasty ass virus i couldnt get rid of and now the drive benchmarks at 300MB/s or 390 MB/s currently.

My configuration is setup as the following

Sata Mode AHCI

The mother board of which is a P8p67 has 8 SATA Connectors

8 7 ----Uses the Sata 6.0 Gb/s Marvell Storage Technology.
6 5 ----Uses the Sata 6.0 Gb/s Intel Rapid Storage Technology
4 3 ----Uses the Sata 3.0 Gb/s Intel Rapid Storage Technology
2 1 ----Uses the Sata 3.0 Gb/s Intel Rapid Storage Technology

my OCZ Agility3 is Connected to 5
E-Sata External 500gig is Connected to 2
250gig HDD is Connected to 1
DVD Sata is Connected to 8

I set it to AHCI as Raid was nearly the same speeds! problem then is i lose performance on my 2 Raid HDD's {I Believe!} Whats even stranger is that the drives are still Raided in AHCI mode?

Shame there weren't seperate controllers all together so i could have the
x2 drives RAID and the OCZ Raid or AHCI mode as i believe RAID doesnt support NCQ or Trim.

So im kinda stuck with the performance issue
I also downloaded the OCZ Toolkit upgraded the Drive to bios revision 2.15 nd done a Secure Erase which strangely took less than 1 second, this didnt fix anything..

I remember having this issue on an older Bios revision and removed marvell drivers and it shot right up to 500 Mb/s from around 300. But now it strangely seems stuck at 320-390..

Anyone here able to help with this issue and confusion with the Bios Raid/Ahci is my setup good?

Forgot to mention that the 500Gig HDD is on the Esata port as well

i know the agility uses asynchronous nand memory where when the drives half full performance drops off considerably, synchronous nand like that used on the vertex 3 doesnt have this issue
