Hi just wanted to point out that i am little upset to find that the price had changed mid week ..The price on them was £129.99 yesterday now its £141.98 .Ok £20 jump may not be much to some but it is to others like me . So having said all that i was waiting for my cash to go into the bank and was going to buy them today at £129 then having seen the price change was taken back and now cant get them ..So i feel little sad and let down by overclocker's price change mid week .

I can't see why you're moaning. Presumably it was a 'This Week Only' offer and they always run Wednesday to Tuesday.

Personally I'd prefer to have the 128GB Crucial M4 for £119.99 that's on offer this week than a pair of 60GB Agility 3 drives.

Hi thanks for the reply's

I would not say it was so much as moaning more of disappointment then moaning ..

I have been buying from OC for many many years spent 1000s here as most have I'm sure .And this is the first time that I feel disappointed about any thing that's all ,
There's not a problem just disappointed ,You know when you get you'r mind set on some thing then get let down that's how it made me feel But hey its not the end of the world YET!..Is that moaning KNOW .

Any oh after reading and looking at the http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-009-CR Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB

The reason and don't get me wrong here i wanted the other two at that price was hopping to get nice boost in DATA speed at very cheap price . In the stats that show on
OC Agility 3 Raid Pack 2x 60GB in RAID 0 you get
- Maximum Read: 1000MB/sec + (RAID)
- Maximum Write: 950MB/sec + (RAID)

Where as one
Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB
- Sequential Read (up to): 550MB/sec (SATA 6Gb/s)
- Sequential Write (up to): 220MB/sec (SATA 6Gb/s)

So tel me which is better over all after seeing that one is faster in RAID 0 then the other as stand alone ,Yes OK could have two Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB and make the RAID 0 but then the price jumps up to high ..

I want high speed at lower cost as we all do :) ..

Thanks for reading.

Of course two in RAID are faster, but the Crucial M4 is known for reliability and is still very fast. I personally would avoid OCZ drives, as they haven't got the best reputation for reliability!

What do you do with your PC? For gaming and general use you would not know the difference between "Maximum Read: 1000MB/sec +" and "Sequential Read (up to): 550MB/sec"

Also note that says sequential read on the M4, so that's continuous whereas the OCZ one quotes a maximum read, which couldn't necessarily be sustained.

I have had 3 OCZ drives pack in on me, 2 of which were Agility 3's, so I would avoid OCZ!! I now have a M4 128gb and very pleased with it. It also gets better speeds on crystal disk mark than either of my Agility 3's did (they were both 60gb)

Ok thinking about getting the Crucial RealSSD M4 ,Just went to there site to get the firmware before buying and have it ready ,But there's message saying

--> At Crucial, we work directly with the engineers at Micron to ensure our drives deliver the best possible performance at the time of purchase and as new updates are made available for your Crucial SSD.

Choose your product to get information and available updates:
But on OC saying to update when you get it.So how would you check the firmware and if i need it where to get it from ,
Because i Cant seem to find it on that site just people talking about it that's it .

All i can find are Intel Matrix Storage Manager .Cant find the one your saying about :(

in windows bottom right in taskbar, intel storage console, you installed intel rst drivers? then you will see the icon, shows firmware for all hdd's/ssd's ect

Yes i tryed to install that software because i have another SSD in my system at the moment but that software would not installing was getting error message ,Plus you said Intel rapid storage console but that's Intel rapid storage technology not console .

The error message that i get is : This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software ,Which requirements ?

I think its 4pm I'm afraid. Could ring and ask if you need it tomorrow?

OK thanks .

Hello This Week Only runs from Wednesday until first this Wednesday. The Agility 3 60GB was on this and as such the discount on a single unit was applied to the RAID pack.

Keep an eye on it though as prices will drop from time to time on the raid packs! :)

yes i did say console, but thats the software part that i posted picture of,the drivers are called intel rapid storage drivers

i dont know why they arnt installing, what board are you using? and where are you downloading them from
