OCZ Arc 100 480

I have been tempted to buy the same drive as for the space its cheap!

are you using it as a os drive or a storage drive?

if its for storing games on then I would have thought it would be fine.

I have 2 x Samsung 850s and was tempted to replace my games drive with one of these.

I ordered one as well :)

With Toshiba now owning OCZ I hope that it will fair better than my Vertex 2E's did, in terms of longevity and support. They do have a three years warranty so that is good. The shieldplus warranty seems pretty good as well.

I do think that you get diminishing practical returns with the faster drivers for their cost compared to that OCZ for less than £110. Unless you are a benchmark junkie I couldn't think of a reason to buy the Evo 850 worth the cost difference, especially considering your needs.

I have a 500GB, or so, SSD for games and one for photos. I also have a 120GB SSD for my boot drive - gotta love the speed and complete lack of clicks, as well as the falling prices of the technology.

Only thing that I do not like about SSD's is their typical sudden death syndrome, not what was promised...!
