OCZ Gold 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Low-Voltage Dual Channel Kit

I have used it successfully with the following board without any trouble ASRock N68C-S UCC, Asrock 890FX Deluxe 3.

OCZ gold always seemed to be the RAM that caused most problems a while back.

You don't see many posts about it now as OCZ stopped making RAM over 6 months ago and OcUK are selling their remainder stock.

If you're after cheap and cheerful then what about this:

Corsair Value 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Low Voltage Dual-Channel Kit £23.98

And you can get 1600MHz RAM for similar money:

Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit £23.99 This Week Only

Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C10 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit £23.99 This Week Only

Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit £25.99 This Week Only

This Week Only offers end Wednesday morning.

It'll be fine.

For some reason the motherboard supports "DDR3 2000(OC)/1333/1066 MHz memory modules".

You may have to run it at 1333MHz or have a play around to see if it will run at 1600MHz.

Thank you for the info Im going to change RAM to see if it cures a few problems I've been having.

Will it run ok using a

Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H AMD 890GX (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard?

This motherboard has ram multipliers of 4x, 5.33x, 6.66x and 8x busclock so for a 200MHz bus, use 8x for 1600MHz, I use a 250MHz bus and 6.66x to give 1666MHz memory at 1.5V (OCZ gold 12800 and Geil Valueram 12800).
