I bought one of these coolers and when i plug it in the blue LED's come on but the fans dont turn, now im wondering whether heat makes the fans turn on. Any suggestions ?? :confused:
 
Where have you plugged it in? Certain motherboard headers do work off heat, others will not. Check your manual and Bios for info.
 
They are just normal fans so should power on when the pc is switched on. Mine does. Does'nt matter what header i use either. Currently have it plugged into the cpu fan header. Nothing blocking them?
 
No, nothing blocking them. Iv spun them round manually to check them. I have tried it in a few fan slots.
I accidently bought 2 as the picture suggested that it covered on set of 2 slots, but that doesnt matter, though both dont spin when plugged in.

Hmmm, I just bought one of these, and have the same problem!

I also plugged it into a molex, same fault, leds on, fan no spinny.

Tried it on a different PC, same. RMA in processs.
 
yeah, i peeled the label back and i cant see that there would be a thermometer anywhere to turn it on at a certain temperature..... i was thinking if i cant get it working il buy 2 small fans and using the metal housing? You would have thought 1 in 2 of these devices would work.
 
I had one of these and thought it was a bad purchase before I even plugged it in (crappy design). Then one of the fans didn't work. Got my money back.
 
Were these bought from a company with the initials MD?

Mine was.

A company I hopefully won't be dealing with again. Awful communications via email, and unobtainable via telephone. They just keep you hanging on the telephone.

I know OCUK can't sell everything, but looked for this product here first.
 
When you fill in the online RMA process with MD, they offer you the option of replacement or money back. I opted for replacement as this looks a good product if working. If they have a bad batch, then it may not have been the best option!

To OP, are they open on a Sunday!?
 
Mine was exactly the same as the OP's so I just threw it in the bin, only cost £8 so wasn't really worth the P&P to send it back :rolleyes:
