Anyone seen these available for pre order for 06/02/2012?

£229 is every cheap for a 256gb SSD. I know it would be a risk buying one as they are new drives and could have potential problems.

The 128gb at £99.98 delivered seems a better deal, two of those in Raid 0 would be nice.

But i'd wait to see if they are any good in reviews first. I can't find a review of them anywhere.

hmmm i have seen them but i believe they use the same Indilinx chip thats on the octane (which isn't the fastest(correct me if im wrong) but still quicker than a hdd) if i where you i would stick to the trusted m4 or force3 for a few quid more or wait for reviews on the petrol,

Yeah I think it would be risky to buy one without and reviews or user feedback. I know they aren't the fastest SSD's but I bet the difference isn't noticeable in real world.

Exactly. I have an agility 3 and a crucial m4. I have used the Vertex 2 in the past too. I also have a setup using 2 x m4's in raid 0.

My gaming PC has an agility 3 as cache for a 2tb HDD.

Can I tell the difference in general use between any of them? No! :p

Quite tempted to pick up a 128GB drive for my work PC, main concern is reliability - had a few issues with the old OCZ budget Indilinx SSD's (destructive flash to 1.7 seems to have fixed them though).
Have any issues cropped up with the Octane?
