OCZ platinum Voltage

Hi all

Would this ram be ok at 1.5V OCZ website doesnt seem to show it.

Seems such a good price as I would like to use it with my corsair ram. Or shud I just buy a matching kit.

Always a good idea to get a mtaching set, but looking at the specs of this RAM 1.5V should not be much of a problem though they will happily run at their stated specs at 1.35V

You might be able to undervolt your current ram. Either get it down to 1.35v or get them to meet somewhere in the middle.

I managed to get my OCZ obsidian to run at 1.35 (stock is 1.65)

Good Idea I hadnt thought about that. How would I stress test RAM though. Would Prime95 be suitable?

Anyhow I have ordered it now, I noticed The title of the RAM says 1.35-1.5V so fingers crossed it all works out

Prime95 blend does test RAM but also memtest86+ (this tests purely the RAM)

There is also a test called Linpack but I have not used that.
