Hey guys, i just upgraded my ram from an ocz 6400 2gb ram. I just received my ocz reaper 2gb ram (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-088-OC&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=817) but for some stranger reason, it shows that the ram is running at 5300 speeds.

I resetted the bios before i inserted the new rams, i then set the timings manually to 5-5-5-15 and then set the voltage to 2.0, and then set the speed to 1000 but it still shows on cpu-z its running at 5300:confused:

I was wondering if anyone can tell me why my rams are running at 5300, i already updated my motherboard bios to the most recent one so it's not a bios issue.

I added a few pictures to show what my current configurations are, if any settings that i have are wrong, would appreciate if anyone could correct me.

Your memory isn't running at pc5300 speed. its running at pc8000, as your DRAM frequency is 500Mhz.

Although it shouldn't be listed as pc5300. you tried using the latest version of cpu-z

ok thnx for the advice darryl. one more thing, i just ran orthos stress test on my cpu and ram, it failed during 30 mins of the test, i have a hunch that it could be because the ram voltage isn't high enough as it's currently at 2.0v. The reaper is rated to run at 2.1v-2.3v but the problem is that in my bios menu i can't get 2.1v, after 2.0, theres 2.5 which may be overkill for my ram.

I added another pic to show you guys what i mean.

any ideas?

Huh?

I can clearly see several settings between 2.0v and 2.5v. Set it to 2.25v.
