Hi,
another newbie to the forum, hope this is ok as a first post. I just bought an OCZ Solid 30gb SSD from Overclockers (hasn't arrived yet but should be with me later this week). I actually wanted a WD Green drive but they were out of stock and the adviser suggested that I buy an OCZ Solid.
Having done a bit of research on SSD's (some good stuff on the OCZ forum) I'm concerned that it may not work well with XP without a serious amount of tweaking. I've built a couple of PC's but I don't consider myself an expert when it comes to mucking around with the inner workings of XP.....
I'd be grateful if anybody has real world experience of using a single OCZ SSD for running XP? Can I expect problems / stuttering from the off? I'd rather return the disk unopened if it's going to be a pain.....
Any comments or advice would be much appreciated.
